Hardrock FC have strengthened their Premier Soccer League title ambitions with the signing of Zimbabwe international Prince Dube.
The 28-year-old striker was unveiled at Chahwanda Stadium on Thursday, just a week after helping Simba SC win the Tanzanian league title.
Hardrock are currently five points behind league leaders Scottland FC, although they have a game in hand, and Dube is expected to bolster an attack that has relied heavily on Washington Navaya since the departure of Zambian striker Andrew Phiri last month.
Dube began his professional career with Highlanders FC before moving to Azam FC. He later featured for SuperSport United FC before joining Simba SC, where he won the Tanzanian championship.
Coach Kelvin Kaindu has continued to strengthen his squad ahead of the second half of the season.
The club has also signed defender Mcdonald Rameck from Malawian side Silver Strikers FC, while Zimbabwe international centre-back Gerald Takwara has joined as a free agent after spells in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Mozambique.
It was not immediately clear whether Dube, Rameck and Takwara had completed all registration formalities in time to feature in Sunday's highly anticipated Premier Soccer League clash against CAPS United FC at Chahwanda Stadium.
Meanwhile, CAPS United have also reinforced their squad, announcing the signing of experienced former Zimbabwe international goalkeeper Washington Arubi as they seek to strengthen their defensive unit for the remainder of the season.
