Former Kaizer Chiefs and South Africa international midfielder Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane is set to join Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions FC Platinum as assistant coach to fellow South African Thabo Senong.

Letsholonyane, who recently parted ways with Botswana Premier League side Matebele FC, is reportedly in Zvishavane to finalise the move ahead of the new season.

The former Bafana Bafana midfielder is expected to work alongside Senong once the pair receive their work permits, which are currently being processed.

Until then, Alexio Sigion and Moses Mwafulirwa will continue to supervise the team's training sessions following the departure of former head coach Joel Luphahla.

The appointment of Letsholonyane would add significant experience to FC Platinum's technical bench, with the former midfielder enjoying an illustrious playing career that included successful spells at Kaizer Chiefs, Bloemfontein Celtic and SuperSport United, as well as numerous appearances for South Africa.

His expected arrival forms part of FC Platinum's restructuring of its technical department as the Zvishavane-based club prepares for the remainder of the season under new leadership.

An official announcement is expected once the necessary immigration and employment documentation has been completed.
