Good morning, @nelsonchamisa
Thank you very much for your lengthy response. Unfortunately, it contains several inaccuracies and, more importantly, it does not address the central issue I raised.
First, you and I did not stop speaking immediately after Dr Alex Magaisa died. That is not true.
We stopped speaking after you called me and accused Job Sikhala, who was in prison at the time, of working with General Constantino Chiwenga. You told me that this information had come from a Member of Parliament who had been imprisoned with Job Sikhala.
That is when we disagreed and stopped communicating. During that conversation, I told you that you were kicking a man while he was down. I said that if you had concerns about Job Sikhala's supposed associations, you should wait until he was released from prison and speak to him directly.
You should not make such serious judgements about an imprisoned man on the basis of gossip when he was unable to defend himself.
Second, your lengthy essay does not address the substantive issues I raised.
I said that CCC had no constitution and no formal leadership organogram. You publicly accused me of lying. You said that a constitution existed and that there was an organogram showing who occupied the principal leadership positions, including the president, vice-president, secretary-general and chairperson.
You also said that you would produce these documents. Yet your long response produces neither the constitution nor the organogram.
This is not a dispute that requires another essay about our personal relationship. It is a straightforward factual matter that can be resolved through evidence. If an authentic CCC constitution existed at the relevant time, produce the dated and officially adopted document.
If a formal leadership organogram existed, produce the contemporaneous document showing the office-bearers and their positions.
The burden of proof lies with the person claiming that these documents existed. A lengthy response cannot substitute for the documents themselves, and changing the subject does not answer the question.
Our personal history is not the issue. The issue is whether CCC had a legitimate constitution and a formal leadership structure. You accused me of lying about that specific matter, so please provide the evidence supporting your accusation.
This is a simple matter of evidence, not eloquence. Produce the constitution and the organogram.
Thank you.
