SA based tycoon guns for Zimbabwean presidency

South Africa-based Zimbabwean businessman and academic, Mutumwa Mawere, has thrown his hat into the Zimbabwe Presidential race.
Mawere, Mugabe, Tsvangirai and Ncube successfully filed presidential nominations today at the Nominations court.
Defense Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa filed on the president's behalf, while Alex Magaisa filed on behalf of Morgan Tsvangirai the leader of the MDC-T party.
Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga filed on behalf of Welshman Ncube, leader of MDC.
Mawere is representing the newly formed United Movement for Democracy.
This was revealed in a tweet by Consta Chimakure and re-tweeted by Trevor Ncube.
Mawere recently won a landmark ruling on dual citizenship which is likely to have far - reaching implications on electoral processes that are currently underway.
Mawere, who holds South African citizenship, approached the Constitutional Court earlier this month after Registrar General (RG) Tobaiwa Mudede refused his citizenship application.
UMDP is predominantly made up of breakaway MDC-99 structures. Influential and brave former MDC-99 Spokesperson, Aaron Muzungu, and Vice President, Biviana Musimi, are among its members.
