A Chinamhora man who alleged that President Robert Mugabe killed many people appeared before a Harare magistrate on Wednesday.

Noah Maphosa, was released on $50 bail after being hauled before magistrate Anita Tshuma. He is to return to court on July 23.

It is the State's case that on July 6, Sekai Mandunda, a youth officer with the ministry of Youth, Gender and Employment Creation met Maphosa, 36, while on her way to attend a Zanu PF inter-district meeting at Mverechena Business Centre.

Prosecutor Sharon Mashavira said Maphosa approached Mandunda who was wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with Mugabe's face on it inscribed with an indigenisation message and said to Mandunda "chii chawakapfeka ichocho, unopfeka hembe ine chimudhara chakaurayisa vanhu vakawanda, chii chinonzi indigenisation unofunga kuti munoiita muri vaviri?" (yini oyigqokileyo yonaleyo, ugqoke isigqoko esilomdala owabulala abantu abanengi, yini okuthiwa yi indigenisation ubona sengathi lizayenza loababili)

After uttering these words, Thomas Sigauke arrested Maphosa with the help of Constable Chagwedera.
