A Rusape teenager who was caught red-handed 'feasting' on a cow's "sexual goodies" last week hanged himself after failing to fathom the humiliation.
The late Lovemore Mukwidzidza (14) of Madondo Village under Chief Makoni had, after being caught red-handed bonking a cow, attempted to consume a pesticide before her sister restrained him. He was later found hanging from a tree branch a few hours after the incident.
Police confirmed the suicide and said at round midday, Lovemore was instructed by his grandmother, Flora Mukwindidza (67) to go and milk a cow in a cattle kraal. He took long to come back and this prompted Gogo Flora to send Fadzai Mukwindidza to do a follow up.
To her shock, Fadzai found Lovemore playing the 'sausage in-sausage out' game with a cow. She is said to have gone home to inform their grandmother.
Flora questioned the young Lovemore about the incident and he vehemently denied everything.
"He became violent and stormed into the house where he picked a pesticide intending to consume it. Flora, however, managed to grab the pesticide bottle and stopped him from consuming it. Lovemore who was determined to cut his life short ran away from the homestead to a nearby bush. His body was found hanging from a tree branch by Desire Mukwindidza (10) who was coming from school a few hours later. A police report was made and investigations are in progress," said Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Enoch Chishiri.
