ALL those implicated in plots to undermine President Mugabe and the First Family who lost the recently held Central Committee elections should be recalled from Government because they have proved to be bad apples.

Interviewed leaders from Manicaland said President Mugabe should not have mercy on all the renegades because they have proved that they can do anything to grab power.

Minister of Manicaland Provincial Affairs, Chris Mushohwe, said it was good that most of the rejected leaders' shenanigans were exposed before the congress so that the new leadership to stir the Zanu-PF ship should be clean and free from all forms of factionalism.

"All architectures of the scheme to eliminate President Mugabe should be flushed out. These are the same people who were fanning factionalism and causing all sorts of divisions in the party. No-one is bigger than the party and everyone implicated in acts of espionage should not be spared regardless of their positions both in the party and Government.

"President Mugabe should be wary of such people because if they remain in Government they will continue pursuing their agenda as they will be holding positions of influence.

"We should start on a clean platform. Zanu-PF is full of capable, young and energetic leaders who can do wonders and see the party emerging stronger.

"We do not want the party's image to be tarnished by a few people and viewed as a corrupt party because of these selfish leaders," said Mushohwe.

He said he was happy that Manicaland had managed to choose credible leaders into the Central Committee.

"We now have a leadership that is free from factionalism tendencies. We have a people-orientated leadership and I can assure everyone that from now onwards Manicaland will be changed and will be a force to reckon with, free from the influence of individuals who called themselves godfathers.

"We cannot be led astray by few individuals and we are saying enough is enough. We want to move forward and speak with one voice as a united people of Manicaland," said Mushohwe.

He said the First Lady, Amai Dr Grace Mugabe was an angel sent by God to redeem Zanu-PF by exposing some of the things that were once viewed as  taboo and should not be spoken in public.

"We are happy with the ushering of Dr Mugabe in the high echelons of power in Zanu-PF because her coming into politics managed to change the landscape and she exposed some of the dirty things we never thought we will know.

"She is indeed an angel sent to redeem Zanu-PF which was falling down the cliff through people who had agendas to destroy the party.

"She has demonstrated that she is a person who wants to see the party going back to its founding principles. It is for the first time since 1980 to have such a courageous and honest leader.

"We want to congratulate the women's league for their decision to take the First Lady on board because the party will be left sparkling clean because some people thought that this congress will usher them into office, but alas the tables were turned against them. God has His ways of doing things and we want to thank Him for giving us a First Lady like Dr Mugabe," said Mushohwe.

Buhera South Member of House Assembly and war veteran, Joseph Chinotimba urged Mujuru to take a back seat and accept the wishes of the people.

"We know that Mujuru is a serious farmer and should concentrate on farming. She should not make the mistake of joining forces with oppositional forces as this will be her political downfall. She was not fired from the party, but if she decides to be big headed, she will fall in the same pit with some leaders we know who are wallowing in the political wilderness.

"Allegations being leveled against Mujuru and her colleagues are very embarrassing and they should not waste their time trying to lie to the world that they are being setup by their political enemies. If they are innocent they should prove themselves," said Chinotimba.

Zanu-PF provincial deputy youth chairman, Mubuso Chinguno, concurred with Mushohwe and said senior party members like Cdes Mutasa, Mutezo, Kanzama and Porusingazi should not be given a chance to occupy influential positions in the party again.

"As the vanguard of the party, we resolved to stop any future appointments involving all those people with factional tendencies. They are good at causing mayhem and we say enough is enough.

"We will ensure that they do not attend our congress because they are unwelcome visitors. How can they want to be part of the party whose leader they wanted to eliminate?

"They should also be sacked from Government. Even it means recalling some of them from Parliament, let it be. We are solidly behind President Mugabe and the First Lady's leadership," said Chinguno.
