Residents of Old Mabvuku in Harare have expressed concerns over the dilapidated sewer system which they said is no longer suitable for use.

This was revealed by the Harare Residents Trust through their Facebook post.

The Trust said residents in Old Mabvuku are not happy about the dilapidated sewerage reticulation system.

"The problem of sewer burst pipe is experienced in Bimba, Busi,Chinhamora and Chiwanika Street," said the Trust.

"Also the same problem is being experienced at Assemblies of God Church. Residents had engaged Mr George Sakarombe who is responsible for water and sewerage reticulation in Harare East to attend to the problem. Two weeks ago new sewer pipes were installed along Chizhanje Road but some pipes were removed to unknown destination as there is speculation that they were sold to new housing cooperatives."

Harare Council's service delivery system is reportedly next to non.
