Harare Residents Trust engage parliament over policy making

Harare Residents Trust has engaged the Zimbabwe parliamentarians to discuss of policy issues and issues of service delivery.

The HRT said it had a Dialogue and Engagement meeting with Policy Makers on 18 November 2015 at Rainbow Towers.

"The meeting was attended by MP's, parliament, Ministry of Local Government Public Works and National Housing, Masvingo United Residents and Ratepayers Association, United Mutare Residents and Ratepayers Trust, Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association, ZLHR, CCDZ, media, residents and other stakeholders," said the trust.

"The main objective of the workshop was for residents associations and residents to interface with officials responsible for making policies so that they inquire, make recommendations on service delivery and issues that are affecting different communities in their respective cities."

The engagement comes at a time when the city of Harare faces a lot of service delivery challenges.
