ZimFirst leader Maxwell Shumba has claimed that after complaining over former Vice President Joice Mujuru having stolen his party's names, his party was faced with vicious attack from both Zanu PF and Mujuru party.

"When you have a good message and a powerful vision everyone wants to be party of it. Unfortunately in Zimbabwe those who like the the vision try to strip it away from the owner and have it for themselves," he said.

"After public protesting the theft of our name over the past few days we as a party faced an avalanche of vicious attacks from not only the Mujuru people who are the villains and subject of our protests but from known Mugabe CIOs who seem to have a stake in Mujuru Party, Zanu PF thugs and surprisingly enough also from my former colleagues in MDC who, one would expect to act differently or simply to zip up."

He said clearly Zimbabwe needs a a political adult in the room who can chart the way forward riding on a vision that states clearly how our country can be great again.

"There are many adults who understand that after all these attacks have died down and all the crumbs picked up, we all have a job to do. We are a party of political adults. ZimFirst is," Shumba said.

"My humble message to those who are unfortunately attacking me all over the social media let me assure you that : 'We are not going anywhere and our resolve is strengthened, the Zimbabwe First vision has owners who have grown it to where the term 'People First' is now a powerful political brand. We are the owners and will have the final say on how it is used.now and the future, movement is no longer about Shumba and in particular circulating fake memos that I have quit will not kill the movement and will strengthen the will and resolve of our visionary movement."
