MDC leadership is visiting all its structures throughout the country in line with the congress resolution to visit all the corners of the country. In its last congress the MDC resolved to visit every village, every valley and every hamlet preaching the message of a just and a fair Zimbabwe and recruiting members.
Yesterday the MDC visited Siganda area in Bubi District Matabeleland North where President Welshman Ncube told the villagers that Zanu-PF party and its leadership has run out of ideas to run the country, and the people must not expect anything new from it. He urged the people must not forget that this is the party that massacred over twenty thousand people from Matabeleland region through Gukurahundi and has led to the poverty that continues to manifest in the lives of the people in the region and the nation. Seven hundred people gathered to listen to the party leadership.
"Honestly we can't seriously expect the Zanu-PF party to have the solution to the crisis facing the country, how can those that had the courage to kill thousands of our brothers and sisters have the plan to give life to the people, I tell you verily that Zanu-PF is at wit end they are totally clueless on how to take the country forward," said Professor Welshman Ncube.
He also told the multitudes that the MDC prioritizes education in its delivery as it is evident now with the delivery of our Minister of Education, Sports and Culture Mr David Coltart who has successfully made sure that the each student has a textbook and very soon our teachers we will be having computers as their teaching aids. This can only be done by this green, green team said the MDC leader.
"Education is a priority in any country that seeks to develop and produce the skills that will carry the nation forward, MDC prioritizes education, we are aware of your plight for better schools and infrastructure as a party we are we are not taking that plight lightly," he said.
He went on to tell the rally that MDC's leadership is committed to the creation of a just and fair Zimbabwe and under no circumstances will it take the people of Zimbabwe for granted and let down the people of Zimbabwe.
"All in all I want to assure you that this team Zimbabwe is a team to trust we will not let you down in any way, there is no party that can produce such a team, we are prepared to work with each every one of you to take Zimbabwe forward," Professor Ncube told the multitudes.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General Priscilla Misihairabwi Mushonga, the National Chairman Goodrich Chimbaira, the Women's Chairlady Thandiwe Mlilo members of the National Executive, the Youth Executive and the Provincial members.
