Intwasa Fashion Show 2016 has made a call to models across Zimbabwe and beyond to submit their applications to be considered for this year's fashion showcase.
Running under the theme "No Colour," this year's edition is scheduled to take place on October 1 as part of the Intwasa Arts Festival koBulawayo. Model casting will be on May 28 at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. The casting is open to professional models, new faces and plus-size models.
Intwasa Fashion Show has for the past years grown the reputation for celebrating Bulawayo's fashion industry through providing a platform for Models and designers showcase their talents.
This setting has since changed as the fashion show is no longer just directed at Bulawayo but Zimbabwe and beyond the borders.
Hunnar Management Agency works hand in hand with Intwasa Arts Festival koBulawayo and Edgars has always been providing support.
Earlier this year Edgars Stores took mentorship of three fashion designers that participated in last year's edition of Intwasa Fashion Show. The three are Penelope Lacha, William Fred and Thobekile Zondo.
This was the second time designers from the platform have been taken in by Edgars Stores Limited.
Hunnar Management agency has said this year, the fashion show promises to be on a higher level of quality, production and initiation.
"We are scouting for a variety of models, the goal is to have new faces to make up our final 20 list of models. In the past years, young models and designers have benefited from internship programmes through being a part of the Intwasa Fashion Show.
"Some have also travelled outside the country to showcase on platforms such as Ekurhuleni Fashion Festival, KOAS in Cape Town and Durban Fashion Fair.
"We are looking forward to further develop the Zimbabwean Fashion Industry into something that's readily available and consumers can buy into. A few invited designers will be gracing the event with their international acclaimed collections," noted Hunnar Management Agency.
The 2015 edition of the Fashion show was held at the AMTEC in Bulawayo.
Notable Zimbabwean Designers who was part of the showcase include Thembani Mubochwa, Ara Kani and Nkanyeziyethu Malunga, they showcased their Spring Summer 2016 ranges last year.
