Injured Dynamos supporters recovering in hospital

Survivors of the accident that claimed the lives of seven Dynamos supporters yesterday are steadily recovering at Parirenyatwa and Harare hospitals.

The football fraternity was on Saturday struck by disappointing news of the death of seven Dynamos supporters who perished in an accident along the Harare - Bulawayo highway near Battlefields camp.

16 of the survivors were ferried from Kwekwe and Kadoma to Parirenyatwa and Harare hospitals on Saturday.

Nine of the survivors have since been discharged, five are still receiving treatment at Parirenyatwa Hospital and two are admitted at Harare Hospital.

Dynamos striker, King Nasama was part of those at Parirenyatwa Hospital providing moral support to his mother who was part of those injured in the accident.  

National Football Association of Zimbabwe (NFAZ) President, Philip Chiyangwa and Dynamos President, Kenny Mubaiwa on Sunday visited the victims at Parirenyatwa Hospital.

Chiyangwa passed his condolences to the families of the deceased, while Mubaiwa said the DeMbare family is saddened by what transpired on Saturday.

The Ministry of Sport and Recreation has also consoled the families of the deceased and is expected to visit the survivors on Monday.
