PROFESSOR Arthur O.G. Mutambara was today embarrassed when President Robert Mugabe and Prime Minister Mr Morgan Tsvangirai recognized Professor Welshman as the leader of the Movement for Democratic Change.

This was during a meeting of principals called to discuss the violence that has become prevalent in Zimbabwe.

In a wall post of his face book account, MDC secretary general of the youth Descent Collins Bajila posted:
"Green machine wins against Mutambara and Zanu PF," he wrote.

Commenting on his post, Nhlanhla Bahlangene Dube, the MDC spokesperson wrote:
"For the first time today, both R.G Mugabe and PM Tsvangirai recognized Welshman Ncube as President of the MDC.

"We refused the attempt by Mudzumwe, Mutambara and gang to try and smuggle themselves into the meeting.

"We said enough is enough of this tomfoolery and nonsense. Mutambara can enjoy Monday tea fraudulently but he cannot pose as a leader of our party. Never," wrote Dube.

Joubert Mudzumwe is the chairman of the Prof Mutambara faction which broke away from the Prof Ncube led MDC in January this year.

Mutambara and his team are claiming that procedures and processes that were followed during the 7-9 January Congress in Harare were foul thus they do not recognize Prof Ncube and his executive as legitimate leaders.

President Mugabe and PM Tsvangirai have refused to recognize Prof Ncube as the legitimate leader of the MD formation and have instead allowed Prof Mutambara to "act up"' as the Deputy Prime Minister of Zimbabwe wrongly.

Prof Ncube has dragged Prof Mutambara to the High Court where he has won an interdict barring the latter from masquerading as a leader of MDC.

The interim order is yet to be confirmed.
