Zimbabweans, we are learned but not learning

Anyone who is honesty will realize that traction for freeing Zimbabwe from inter conflicts based on greedy barely show signs of victory before too many people, media titled prominent, and with history of going from one organized political party to another group seeking to over shadow the very source of initiative emerges and take over. Reversing freedom initiatives gains. This in essence is a strategy coming from Zanu and many of us, I shudder to submit whether conscious or unconscious, are faithful students of Zanu specializing in making all efforts for liberating the masses fail before they take off.

Let me say this very honestly without holding back punches. When Itai Dzamara went on his road of a lone ranger to address Mugabe and surrogates, prominent men never wanted to offer company or associate with such politics of honesty, often referred to as sheer naivety. Time being a good doctor, it is from such naivety that the birth of #ThisFlag comes up, and so does Jambanja and the voice of many unknown quantities. I dare say the unknown are always sacrificed even though they display genuine courage and love to meet with sacrifice.

I am concerned at the blind eye we turn against those whose initiative we steal away and make it our own. I am concerned at the very same Zanu mentality many of our so called educated have displayed to displace the bold, courageous and honesty into dustbins of history while we watch.

I call for followers and advisers to initiatives on on-going thrusts to remove the regime than organizing to hijack leadership and give Zimbabwe back to the same ills that beset our people and economy and country today. It is not true that we do not need new people, but new ideas only. We need new people who faithfully concern themselves with the administration of truth than of corruption and connivance. New ideas to people of Zanu mentality will be nothing of an investment but fuel to keeping Zanu in power.

Who knew of Evans Mawarire except his small congregation? The heart of risking is what we need consider now in new leadership initiatives than those of a wait and see mentality to grab initiatives under the pretext of the eminent and prominent. Have you noticed that the people who circulate in our politics never leave the country? That they take from the same box except that others take in the deep of the night cover while those with authority take in the midday when all eyes watch but unable to voice due to consequences of brutality and force of violence Zanu uses on the innocent.

Zanu is smart to squeeze people out of finances and silence them. Have you noticed though that some people never go broke yet are called crtitical of Zanu while others go burst immediately on the label of being anti Zanu? There others still who thrive even amidst so called critical position against Zanu and always offer themselves as answers to a political impasse only to trade it in for more money in their accounts. It is time we open our eyes and tell truth on corruption that kills initiatives for democracy and removal of Zanu from office constitutionally. I am coming to a strong conclusion that we are educated and learned but not learning situations and conditions.  Possibly we are not honesty with each other but play jokes on our plight and use it as business opportunity. We lack in empathy.

We need learn to be supporters of ideas not killers through wild ambition to take over and control. We aught cease develop a cult veneration for corrupt practices and personalities who benefit only among themselves as colleagues and contemporaries while true soldiers suffer unprotected.  We now need call the spade a spade and accept that courage and vision do not come from prominence but from providential ordination that has a tribute of honesty and selfless devotion to others than self. Let's build on the initiatives currently on-going and develop leadership from within than waiting vultures that take chance of opening opportunities without track record of love for people.

Zanu took us for a long unpleasant political ride and when we come out of it we need not take another blind ride chaperoned by the high and mighty who have waited to harvest from our labour overnight. Lets us develop a system that respects courage and promote honesty and commitment to rule of law than innuendoes devious and Machiavellians. Let's build from the devoted who are on the frontline and build a team of democrats who love democracy for what it offers than seek position and status. Thirty-seven years gone by have shown us the callousness of a lost struggle and classism built on corruption and lack of transparency.

Let's say no to any such system which appears sympathetic while never supportive of grass roots initiatives whether through power of the pen or physically walking the streets among those home. Please let us learn truth, faithfulness, loyalty to the people and teach it if we will come out of this phase of broken and decayed politics in our land. God will not release us from tyranny into another tyranny.
