Acting President Phelekezela Mpholo clashed with Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission commissioners Monday to the extent of reprimanding one official for calling him vice president.
Mphoko had summoned the reluctant commissioners led by board chairperson, Job Whabira to a meeting with Higher Education Jonathan Moyo fraud case high on the agenda.
Reports indicate that Mphoko accused the officials of
selective application of the law and refusing to listen to his orders.
"It was a stormy meeting, with angry exchanges, including a clash after one commissioner called Mphoko 'VP'. To which Mphoko retorted 'I am the Acting President'" media reports state.
Mphoko is adamant that Moyo as a cabinet minister cannot be arrested.
However, his counterpart Emmerson Mnangagwa who is also the Justice minister said only President Robert Mugabe is immune to prosecution.
ZAAC officials are due to hold a press briefing today.
