A man of cloth is reportedly on the run after duping several unemployed AFM congregants in Mashonaland East province police have confirmed.
Allegations are that a man identified as Mr Zhou of Matarutse area in Mberengwa approached AFM Juru sect on Sunday the 25th of September 2016 and gave a false testimony to fellow congregants on how God had blessed him with employment after a long searching time.
Zhou said his employer was in need of nine more employees and all the youths who desperately needed employment could not wait any longer as unemployment continues to sky rocket.
The nine were ordered to come at Juru police on the 26th for finger prints in so doing Zhou was using constable Ukaka's mobile phone to contact the victims and who were ordered to pay US$50 each to secure a place at his organisation.
Ukaka did not suspect any form of fraud in Zhou as he seemed to be a genuine man, after receiving the US$50 notes from the nine youths he varnished while Ukaka was taking the finger prints.
Meanwhile, the same culprit is suspected to have defraud 14 congregates at Macheke AFM church and an unknown number of congregants in Victoria Falls.
Though police say he is targeting AFM churches it is not clear whether he is the same guy who used the same trick to defraud a number of UFIC congregants in Mvurwi a few months ago.
