DARE on coalition

We take great exception to other political  formations which have taken it upon themselves  to be godfathers and mothers of the struggle for democracy.Indeed political parties met in SA to be able to agree and kickstart the 2018  united opposition campaign. The meeting was democratic and centred on parties already coalescing  in CODE and NERA armbits. The parties were invited on the strength of their commitment to working together towards a new Zimbabwe.

Not only do the parties wish for a new Zimbabwe but obviously would want to shape and be proactive partners of a Zimbabwe that we want. The SA meeting was never about positions and we should not be insulted by those who think ,eat and sleep positions. Those who are steeped in positions dogma will find crevices to hide in trying to delay the inevitable which is steeped on respect, integrity and inclusiveness.

DARE went to SA with an open mind and we indeed participated and made strides towards a future mutually inclusive Zimbabwe. That we chose to work and talk to our oposition brethren confirms our recognition that Zimbabweans deserves better leadership and servitude. We are desirous to work with those who aspire to build Zimbabwe and not personalities.

It is unfortunate that some regard the meeting of leaders as elitist and lacking grassroots support. We are in leadership to lead and make no mistake we will lead as mandated. We obviously consult and carry those who believe in us with us  in these deliberations. What is shocking is statements which are pointedly mobocentric and aimed  at gullible rhetoric .

We take great exception to ZimPf who regardless of the fact that they are our immediate oppressors want to assume the lead in castigating other leaders who attended the SA meeting. We recognise only those who were in the trenches from 1999 to present as authentic colleaugues in the our fight for change and liberty. We know those who were our oppressors and still enjoying the loot of oppression.Indeed it is frightening that those who opened eyes yesterday  wish to dictact whom we should meet and where. We will remain steadfast on the stern of the ship as we move to build a platform for opposition parties to solidify and strategically change the discourse of Zimbabwe.

Those who are jealousy as to insinuate the involvement of the CIO  through ITI must be reminded that in their party they will find the recruiters  and implementors of clandestine activities which tormented, tortured and killed Zimbabweans for a difference of opinion and perceptions.

We abhor those who today want to sing on top of the mountain about democracy and how we should shape it.Indeed we recognise that some power players would try to torpedo any coalition movement on the basis of backbiting, grapevine and rancour. The coalition train has indeed left the station and doors remain open to those who share and rise above mediocrity.

In that breath we remain committed to a restored and empowered Zimbabwe. We indeed are aware of the role that Tsvangirai has played and continues to play as a key factor among others in a Zimbabwe we want.Indeed we are not blind to the fact that he is quite relevant to the shaping of a new Zimbabwe. Our own President Gilbert Dzikiti has always maintained that elections in 2018 are critical and will define a future for generations to come.2018 is a juncture which in his view will usher in a transitionery political dispensation leading into transformation and restored Zimbabwe.

It is time that those sidekicks trying to remain relevant be aware that time for personal agrandisement is over .Zimbabwe has turned a corner and the SA meeting is only but a beginning of working together and becoming stronger together on the road into a new Zimbabwe.
