Mugabe appoints, reassigns Permanent Secretaries

Press Statement by the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck J M Sibanda Appointment and Re-Assignment of Permanent Secretaries
It has pleased His Excellency the President, in terms of Section 205 (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 20) Act 2013 as read together with Section 28 of the Interpretation Act, to appoint and reassign the following Permanent Secretaries with immediate effect;
1. Dr Thokozile Chitepo as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, following the retirement of Ms Florence Nhekairo. Dr Chitepo is currently serving as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Rural Development, Promotion and Preservation of National Culture and Heritage.
2. Mr George Magosvongwe as Permanent Secretary for Rural Development, Promotion and Preservation of National Culture and Heritage. Mr Magosvongwe is currently the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment.
3 Dr Desire Mutize Sibanda as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment. Dr Sibanda is currently Secretary for Macro-Economic Planning and Investment.
4. Dr Judith Kateera, as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Macro-Economic Planning and Investment Promotion. Dr Kateera is currently Secretary (Non-Accounting) in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.
5. Mrs Sibusisiwe Zembe as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development. She is currently Principal Director in the Organ for National Healing, Reconciliation and Integration in the Office of the President and Cabinet.
6. Mr Munesushe Munodawafa as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development. Mr Munodawafa is currently serving as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development.
7. Ambassador Dr Machivenyika Mapuranga as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development. Ambassador Mapuranga is the current Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development.
8. Professor Francis Gudyanga as Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development. Professor Gudyanga is the current Secretary for the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development.
9. Dr Perpetua Gumbo as Secretary in the Public Service Commission. Dr Gumbo is currently the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development.
10. Dr Godfrey Majoni Chipare as Secretary in the Public Service Commission and seconded to the Zimbabwe National Defence University as a lecturer. Dr Chipare is the current Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Sport and Recreation.
