For the benefit of those who are not in the picture about Mthwakazi Republic Party, let me try putting it in the simplest form of understand. MRP was launched on the 11th of January 2014 at Presbyterian church in Bulawayo CBD.

Few days after its launch there were Prophets of doom who said the party was not going anyway. They called us all sorts of names and by that time we had no structures. Others said it was just a reactionary party, others were saying it was a secessionist party with nothing to offer and wasn't going anyway. On the other hand some were saying the leadership was too young to lead a formidable revolutionary party.

All those words were said as a tool of discouraging us but not knowing we believed that MRP was a God's project which is here to change the status quo in Mthwakazi. Three years down the line from our formation we are still standing yet we don't have any donor funding. Now we have fully constituted party structures in Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Bulawayo, Midlands, Botswana, Jo'burg, Cape town, and the United Kingdom. We have supporters across the globe but surprisingly we still have prophets of doom claiming MRP will collapse soon. It will not die it is here to stay.

Last year we were in Gadade commemoration where Chief Nhlanhla Ndiweni announced that he was not happy with Obert Mpofu and his Councillors and that he had written a letter to the Zimbabwean President asking him to recall Obert Mpofu. We all knew that the chief's grievance and requests to President Robert Mugabe were going to lend on deaf ears.

Therefore we as MRP, the people's revolutionary party with people at heart and known for respect and tolerance but radical in approach, we saw it fit to take heed of the chief's cry and those of the people of Mthwakazi and get rid of Obert Mpofu and ZANU PF from Matabeleland.

We all agreed that MRP will give the people of Ntabazinduna and Mthwakazi as a whole a lasting solution to their problems and the solution is for them as a community to agree on their preferred MP and Councillors who will work hand in hand with the chief and the community.

The chief have a lot of very ambitious plans for his area but Obert Mpofu and his people are frustrating him hence the need to change leadership. These are but some of the reasons why MRP is standing in the 2018 elections. The people of Matabeleland are in need of leadership that will deliver, servants not masters. Leaders who will not be apologetic, leadership that will not submit to Harare.

The party is very much aware that the current crop of MPs and Councillors from Matabeleland and Midlands are a bunch of failures. They are not representing the masses but Harare where their bread is buttered. It doesn't matter whether they are from the MDCs or Zanu PF, all are the same.

The prophets of doom have already started prophesying our down fall on the alter of Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC), most of whom are not even locally based. We have thousands of people today in Mthwakazi who agree with MRP that they should be a paradigm shift in Mthwakazi. Its no longer business as usually for ZANU PF and MDCs.

We are aware of ZANU PF's record of stealing elections and we will not seat back and watch. Efforts are being made to protect our votes. MRP is in the process of recalling 6 000 of its membership based in South Africa to come back home in January 2018 to help in campaigns as well as protecting our votes and thwarting any efforts by the war vets aligned to Zanu pf from beating and harassing Matabeleland villagers. Asifuni Bumbulu this time.

MRP believes that Mthwakazi have enough resources, that can develop our state into a modern day developed independent state. The priority for Mthwakazi now is the fulfillment of Zambezi water project, the exploitation of Lupane Gas, road infrastructure development and above all Urban development particularly development of our provincial and district towns which is all possible and should be done within five years from next year.

While the prophets of doom are busy discouraging us, some people are canvassing behind the scenes to stand as MPs, Councillors, and Senators on MRP tickets and we are spending most of our time In meetings with them. We are doing the best that we can and we mean business. We are encouraging all our people to register and vote MRP. The time for ZANU PF has expired, now is the time for new beginnings. We would like to take this opportunity to thank party members and surpoters for their unwavering support to the people's revolutionary party.

The major problem in Matabeleland now is Shona dominance in work places, businesses, and farms, taking away our God given natural resources developing Harare at the expense of the suffering Mthwakazi people. The corruption taking place at Bulawayo City Council is coming to an end. Vote Team MRP 2018.
