King Nyamande Lobhengula II is to be unveilled mid January 2018. UMthwakazi nation must brace itself for the unveiling of the rightful heir to the Mthwakazi Royal Throne. Identified by the King Lobhengula Royal House, that has the crown and the Royal Lineage, King Nyamande Lobhengula II is being unveiled to UMthwakazi as a successor to the last King of the Mthwakazi Nation, King Nyamande I.
This follows a long and necessary consultative process by King Lobhengula Royal House representatives. More than one traditional method of identifying the heir to the throne was meticulously considered, hence the long time it took to arrive at this local, legitimate and reliable result. At least four methods were considered in the long arduous process to arrive at this result; these were 1. Indlalifa, 2. Isambumbela, 3. Ezomoya, 4. Umzila wegazi lobuKhosi.
King Nyamande Lobhengula II is locally born and bred, understands the Mthwakazi culture, aspirations and challenges. He is a strategically apt leader, cautious, well schooled and carries the cultural gravitas required for this responsibility. He is not an imposed foreigner on the people of Mthwakazi. He calls on all peoples, regardless of creed, race, tribe, and political affiliation to welcome and enjoy this development.
NOTE: King Nyamande I was born in 1873, three years after King Lobhengula's coronation. From among all his father's progeny, he was identified as successor by his father King Lobhengula before disappearance, and was coronated on 25 June 1896 at Entumbane. Nyamande I led the Umvukela owehloka elibomvu as a King in 1896. After the uprising, he was detained and restricted to the wild Bembesi forest. He later died in 1929, and is buried at Insuza. King Nyamande Lobhengula II is a direct descendent of King Nyamande I.
