Now Renewal Team wants to buy victims of political violence

The announcement by Tendai Biti's nameless party that it has funds to start compensating MDC-T victims of political violence is the most telling of the renewal group's lack of moral fiber.
They are now trying to buy MDC-T supporters with money which has suddenly dropped from heaven, yet while they were in office they were the very people who were telling President Morgan Tsvangirai that there was no money for such activities.
The MDC-T was accused of not caring for its members who were victimised by Zanu (PF) while these gentlemen were busy spending party money on scholarships for their girlfriends, and exorbitant salaries for party workers whose loyalty they were buying.
But, now that they have failed to gunner support for their misguided party, this "motley collection of elitist snobs with no following around the country, and interested mainly in hoodwinking impressionable donors," has thought of a cynical plot to woo supporters with money.
This goes against everything that the MDC-T stands for, and many true MDC supporters will tell how they refused to be enticed by money to support Zanu (PF); if anything many real MDC cadres paid the ultimate price for refusing to renounce the MDC, even under threat.
For Biti and Mangoma to think that they can buy the support of MDC supporters with money is the height of folly, and it will only lead to heartache for the so-called renewal camp.
In fact these tactics are typical of the Zanu (PF) party of criminals that we are fighting; its officials deliver maize and other necessities to starving peasants only when it is election time and when they want their votes.
So our erstwhile friends now seem to have taken a page from Zanu (PF), a party which Tendai Biti seems to admire, going by his complementary remarks about its president and its election manifesto.
It makes us wonder why they have all these years claimed to be fighting Zanu (PF) with us when in fact they believe that Mugabe is a better leader than our own Tsvangirai.
Just as we did with Zanu (PF)'s food-for-votes, we say if it is offered take it, after all you deserve that money because it was sourced as money for victims of political violence - why the same gentlemen could not source the same money when they were part of the MDC-T is further proof that they were sabotaging the President in order to be able to say that they have better ideas.
So take whatever money is offered, but on election day you know where you stand and you will be alone in the voting booth, and you can vote for the party that is dedicated to removing Zanu (PF) through a truly national effort.
It is not that the MDC-T did not want to support victims of political violence, but it genuinely had no resources, as advised by the same gentlemen who were responsible for party funds and party programs; the same reason why the party has no money now while they are playing politics with people's money.
It is a further exposure of the sabotage that they were involved in; that they have agreed not to implement any the programs that would make President Morgan Tsvangirai popular with the masses, because they had their own agenda.
We are glad that this group of pretenders has been exposed and is now no longer part of the MDC-T. With a coherent team and the continued support of our members, we will be able to deliver the change that all Zimbabweans crave.
Just a look at the headlines today will show you what a crisis Zimbabwe is in, and this is clearly a result of Zanu (PF) rule, because when the MDC-T was part of the government, the economy had started to improve:
ZRP in $7m corruption scandal; Tokwe-Mukosi's Chigwizi Camp continuing to deteriorate - now sexually transmitted diseases are rampant; second national hero dies a pauper while the rest of his former Zanu (PF) colleagues' accounts overseas are bursting at the seams with corruptly earned money; corruption charges reduced against Muchechetere; and of course the ongoing Baba Jukwa saga.
There is no going back; Zanu (PF) is taking us into a crisis of immeasurable proportions, and Zimbabweans should learn to unite under the party that first provided a credible challenge to Zanu (PF) and is still continuing to provide that leadership, rather than trying to form little parties that will only serve to divide our votes.
