DARE statement on ZiNAP launch
19 Dec 2015 at 09:46hrs | Views
We are happy that people of Zimbabwe are meeting from all walks of life in pursuit of a better Zimbabwe.
The first convergence meeting of ZiNAP is a harbinger of greater things to come towards a united and progressive era.
We can speak different languages but we are all Zimbabweans,we can go to different churches but we are all Zimbabweans.Indeed we can differ in opinions but not on what makes us Zimbabwean.
We sincerely thank the organisers of the event and feel uplifted that like minded organisations and political parties are coming together to draw a program for Zimbabwe. We are at economic, social, political and developmental crossroads.
It is the first ribicon we have to conquer towards a restored and empowered Zimbabwe .
We condemn the unwarranted police presence in the morning at the venue of the meeting which intimidated many people and threw doubt about the event. We call upon the freedoms guaranteed in the constitution to be respected and adhered and we remain steadfast in defence of our hard won independence and freedoms.
Indeed Zimbabwe is at an economic precipice and could tip over into the dark abyss of a failed state if we are not incusive and conclusive on solutions to take Zimbabwe forward. We accept the challenges ahead and pledge to work with other partners in this convergence which includes Students , Workers, Churches, NGO's and political parties. The convergence is work in progress going into 2016.Aluta Continue
