Ndebeles Under Siege at Choppies

Following the release of the Choppies video showing Romicon Shona security guards abusing a Ndebele customer more people with evidence began to flood our information department with some disgruntled Ndebele employees began to tell their story. The party's information department also received Emails from as far as South Africa and Botswana Choppies' workers Unions also complaining about their ill treatment. One email reads, " Shonas are after us and they have a nature of gossiping in return of favours from the management, its their nature everywhere they set their foot.

The information we got is that the factional wars within ZANU PF have also taken the center stage in some individual businesses to the extend that senior Lacoste members are reportedly paying individuals within Choppies management to sabotage businesses owned by Vice President Mphoko.

Several employees who sent us information on condition of anonymity told us that the Shona speaking employees have reportedly roped in the managers of Indian origin in their fight against Matabele. It has come to our attention that the two managers who recently came from Harare, an Indian as well as a Shona have been the main source of tribal wars at Choppies.

Romicon Security plays a pivotal role in sabotaging Choppies through harassment of its customers. The security guards are very arrogant, speaks only in Shona, and they assault those who resist to speak their language. All this happens in broad day light, in full view of other customers.

We have gathered information that Mr Athul, the Operations Manager, an Indian who was brought in from Harare is a racist ,hates blacks with passion regardless that his employer is black . At many times is seen clashing with all Ndebele managers who refuses his barbaric intimidation resulting in him teaming up with the Shona employees who only cares about money above their dignity which the Ndebeles protect.

While on the other hand Mr Taurai who also came from Harare and is now the Deli manager, is in the habit of removing Ndebele employees in his department and replacing them with Shonas. According to the information we got Ndebele employees at Choppies are way below 30% percent of the total work force in Matabeleland. A situation that makes us as a party to come in and voice our concerns.

We are reliably told that the Shona managers at Choppies held an illegal meeting where they agreed that (Mandeere awandisa kwaChoppies) and made a secret plan to target the most vocal individuals from Mthwakazi for dismissal. Unfortunately one of them whether deliberately or by mistake sent a whatsup message to one of the Ndebele employees who then made it public.

We are as a party, fighting against Shona supremacy that's what brought us into Choppies issue. There is no doubt Choppies employs a lot of people and can be used for political benefits of some people a good reason why the ZANU PF factions are playing it out at Choppies.

The latest victim of tribal war at Choppies is Sjabuliso Nxumalo a Xhosa popularly known as Mandela, who was suspended on trumped up charges. Later dismissed though he has since appealed . Mr Nxumalo is said to have fallen out with Shona supremist the time he was the chairman of the workers committee and was protecting Mthwakazi citizens at Choppies prompting him to be a target.

As a party, we don't hate Shona people we are just trying to protect our land against looters and tribalists who are working tirelessly to undermine, reducing us to second class citizens. Choppies has been part of Mthwakazi for a very long time from the time it was called Spar, owned by Modi. In the process the company has been of support to different community social projects and giving away vehicles to customers and many people from Bulawayo but the capture of this Shop by Shona suprimists is what we condemn.

It is on our record that the following companies in Mthwakazi are good ambassadors of Shona Suprimists as they do according to the 1979 Shona grand plan by employing only Shona speaking people and we have already ruled them out of any Mthwakazi future development plans. The Organizations and companies are as follows;

All Government departments especially Zimra, Zesa, Zinara, ZNA, ZRP, immigration, ZPS, and the registrar's office among others.

In Bulawayo, when ever you get into these shops you will be tempted to think that maybe you are in Harare or some where in Mashonaland ,and you may wonder if they have ever bothered asking themselves how we feel seeing them getting employed in our territory yet we are unemployed?

We have since concluded that only the restoration of Mthwakazi state shall set us free.

Let's all embrace the Restoration agenda Mthwakazi omuhle. Up to when shall we remain slaves? Must we remain second class citizens forever? There is no doubt, the time is now, the time to set ourselves free.
