Mthwakazi Republic Party rallies have been cleared by the police in Nkayi North at Zenka and Mpumelelo areas.

This was revealed by party spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo.

"10 July 2017 MRP twin Rallies cleared!. Mthwakazi Republic Party will hold two rallies in Nkayi north Constituency on the 22nd of July 2017 at Cross Zenka business centre as well as Mpumelelo. Team MRP applied for a Police clearance two weeks ago and the Police have since verbally responded saying we can go ahead because there will be no function of any kind on that day," he said.

"Hundreds of party supporters are set to attend the twin rallies to be addressed by the party's President Cde Mqondisi Moyo. Restoration, Empowerment, Self-determination and Transformation "REST" is the massage of hope Matabeleland wants to listen to. The cross Zenka rally will begin at 10:00am to 1300hrs while the last one to be held at Mpumelelo business centre will start from 13:00 to 17:00hrs. "

He said the party is set to officially unveil the Parliamentary candidate for the area on that particular day.

"ZANU PF and MDC-T are an embarrassment to the people of Matabeleland and we will make sure they are eliminated from Mthwakazi. Just like Lupane and Tsholotsho, Nkayi is also poor in terms of development, it is even nicknamed "komnyam'ubambile" meaning where darkness rules. This is all because the poverty is visible to everyone," he said.

"The place is just like the rest of Matabeleland North province, all of her resources benefits Mashonaland. Mthwakazi Republic Party is saying NO to that, Matabeleland resources for Matabeleland people. "Asifuni Bumbulu". We are inviting everyone who is 18 years and above to register and vote Team MRP. Doing so is the only assurance of a better future the people of Matabeleland have rather than risking their precious lives going to South Africa. For peace and justice in our life time Mbonisi Gumbo MRP National secretary for Information and publicity."
