Mthwakazi activist Hloniphani Ncube has said his dream is to see a free Matabeleland.
"My agenda is clear and straight forward and my dream is to see a free Matebeleland and I speak that without fear, where democracy is the order of the day. I want to see my people in Matebeleland being served by credible state institutions such as an independent judicial system not this nonsense that we are subjected to," he said.
"I am dreaming of Mthwakazi whereby there is freedom of speech and free media. Not this environment whereby there is no life after expressing yourself through a speech or demonstration. I am dreaming for a Mthwakazi whereby the death sentence would scrapped off cause a lot of our innocent people have been killed through this controversial bill whilst the murderers go around pfree."
He said he is dreaming for a Mthwakazi which would established good international relations but putting the interests of its citizens first.
"I am looking forward for a democratic Mthwakazi where by development would be the order of the day, not this nonsense we are subjected to. A Mthwakazi whose cultural heritage and diversity would be respected by all. We need without fear to unite against tribalism, human rights violation, injustices committed against our people, planned economic degradation in our land, classism, racism, intolerance and all forms of politically motivated negativity in Mthwakazi. It's time we rise, plan and repossess our land. It's possible if we puts our heads together. Forward with the true and real struggle to self determination," he said.
