Man axes, sets alight wife's lover

A Lupane Casanova, Lamulani Sibanda cheated death by after an injiva poured paraffin all over his body and set him alight for having an affair with his wife.
Sibanda had an illicit affair with Lethukukhanya Mpofu's wife.
Now Sibanda is fighting for dear life at Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo.
"Sibanda had an affair with Mpofu's wife which he did not deny. He even compensated Mpofu in May" Lupabe police Chief Superintendent Johannes Govo said.
Govo said Mpofu return top Lupane on June 18 was hot a tip off of the affair which was still continuing.
Mpofu, armed with an axe hunted down Sibanda while carrying a five litres of paraffin.
He caught up with him at Mabhembenene Primary school while watching football. Govo said Mpofu axed Sibanda thrice on the head and poured paraffin all over his body and set him alight.
Mpofu fled the scene leaving Sibanda burning. Sibanda was rescued by fellow villagers and rushed him to St Lukes Hospital and later transferred to Mpilo. He is still on the run.
