Plumtree man nabbed for stealing laptop

A man from Plumtree was last week arrested for stealing a laptop from his friend in Figtree, Mangwe District.
Alfred Nkomo (35) appeared before Plumtree magistrate ‘s court Mr Joshua Nembaware, on Monday accused of stealing a lap to belonging to Allen Kaseke of Mangwe District in Figtree.
The state led by Mr Selistine Madziwa heard that on 24 October 2023, after a drinking spree in Marula Business Centre , Nkomo went to visit the complainant at his place of residence and while the latter was asleep, he sneaked out with the laptop, laptop speakers and a speaker box.
Upon discovering that his laptop and speaker box was missing, Kaseke alerted members of the community and fortunately enough, Nkomo was spotted in Plumtree town the following day trying to sell the stolen goods and was eventually arrested.
He was remanded in custody to 06 November 2023 for trial.
