Tragic Incident: Man dies after falling from bus

In a tragic incident along the Lubu-Kariangwe road, a 35-year-old man from the Inyathi area in Bubi District lost his life after falling from the top of a bus.

Trust Moyo, a bus assistant conductor for Dubbies bus, met with the fatal accident while the bus was en route from Bulawayo to Muchesu Centre on a Sunday evening. Moyo was involved in offloading luggage from the top of the bus as it dropped off passengers at their destinations.

As the bus approached Chilelema Business Centre, the bus conductor, Knowledge Moyo, heard a sudden noise resembling a falling object from the top of the bus. Concerned, he promptly instructed the driver to stop for an inspection.

To their shock, upon stopping, they discovered the lifeless body of Trust Moyo lying on the road. ZRP Kariyangwe base in Binga was informed and responded to the scene. Police reported that the deceased had suffered fatal head injuries due to the fall.

The bus was subsequently taken to ZRP Kariyangwe base for inspection by the Vehicle Inspection Department. Meanwhile, the deceased's body was transferred to the Binga mortuary. Dubbies Bus Company declined to provide any comments on the incident.
