PLUMTREE – Spencer Ncube, a 23-year-old man from Plumtree, is facing serious charges after allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old girl on the nose in a violent outburst.

Ncube appeared before Plumtree magistrate Mr Joshua Nembaware, who remanded him in custody until October 7.

According to Prosecutor Sheilla Nyathi, the incident occurred on September 18. The complainant was walking home from school with a friend when they encountered the accused sitting under a tree with his companion. The girls reportedly asked for water to drink.

Ncube allegedly questioned the complainant about why she had laughed at him upon arrival. In a fit of rage, he attempted to assault her but was restrained.

Later that day, Ncube allegedly followed the minor to her homestead, where he stabbed her once on the nose, causing a deep cut.

The matter is still under investigation, and Ncube remains in custody pending further proceedings.
