While Zanu PF was busy preparing for the July 31 2013 harmonised general elections the MDC-T house was on fire. Even though it tried to show a united front in public deep within their hearts they knew all was not well. Violence and disorganisation had become the norm in the MDC-T in all the provinces. Below are some of the Internal Memorandums from some of the party's provinces.

Gooday, How are you Chief under the harsh situation? In God, the persecution shall pass and a free Zimbabwe is on the horizon.

The Mayor of Mash East, Marondera, Nyandoro together with 20 youths physically attacked the Provincial Chairman Denga, the Provincial Secretary, a toddler and many more at a rally over the weekend. Factionalism has divided Mash East. The Mayor is suspended on corruption charges. Hon Chamisa promised disciplinary action on this issue.

The Mayor of Bindura and her husband also verbally attacked and disrupted a women district meeting in Bindura over the weekend. She is protecting herself to be re-elected and become the Mayor again. Anyone who is against her flamboyant life is attached or reported to police. For example, a youth was convicted for having warned the Mayor against corruption like Mugabe. The Mayor turned the case that the youths had attacked her as Mugabe's' wife.

I have attached the budget programme for Mash Central and Manicaland.
Yours,
Macheka

MIDLANDS NORTH   PROVINCE
1PHILLIP CRESCENT NEWTOWN
KWEKWE

DATE 14/01/13

FROM :  THE PROVINCIAL SECRETARY'S OFFICE
TO :         SECRETARY GENERAL
             44Nelson Mandela ave  Harare

RE :      MIDLANDS NORTH YOUTHS GRIEVANCES TOWARDS

I am writing to inform you of the state of   affairs in midlands north province. We last had the provincial executive meeting sometime in may 2012. All our attempts to have another meeting were fruitless until now. With that background the youth last week demanded for any emergency meeting, which they scheduled for Saturday 12/01/13  at the provincial office in Kwekwe. All the three provincial structures were summoned (main board, women and youth). Only 21 members attended this meeting. At the meeting youth were given  time to introduce and tell the members who were present what pushed them  calling  such a meeting.

The chairperson of the youth  on behalf of the provincial youth assembly puts their grievancies before the members present:                                                                                                                                            1:They said they are not happy with the way the midlands north province is being run by the main board only two people are driving and running the provincial affairs.
That most of the provincial members are left out of provincial programmes if any.

2: That the finance of the party in the province is only known and used by only two members of the province and the rest are in darkness. Hence were demanding for an audit of all the monies that were given to this province.

3: That the province was presented with a pick-up truck and 18 balls for the 18 constituencies last year but to-date those balls are not given to the districts. They demanded for the immediate release of those balls.
That the same truck which is for the province is seen driven by different people who are not provincial drivers the likes of Tawanda Chibwe the provincial treasurer's employee,  W.B.Murambiwa a member from ward 8 in Kadoma district  and lastly J.J. Magwada a new member recently defected from Welshman's MDC party, who resides at Gokwe centre but the drive is being paid by the party for just doing nothing since 2009 constitutional outreach.

4: That the province was given seed maize last year and that seed maize was not given to the people. Also this year it is alleged the province was given 22tons of seed maize in early December but to date some of the districts were not given that seed maize districts cited were (Gumunyu,Chakari,Sengwa,Kadoma,Redcliff,Mbizo and Mapfungautsi)

5: That the province was given bicycles for the wards organizers early October 2012 but to date some of the wards organizers did not receive their bicycles. Chakari wards, Redcliff wards and Muzvezve wards are still waiting for their bicycles. They demanded to know how many bicycles were given to mid north province.

6: That the province was allocated funds for hiring  buses to go to the anniversary celebration 2012 Bulawayo and only one bus was hired for only Gokwe districts they wanted to know how much was given towards the hiring of buses for the anniversary celebration.
That the province was given funds for the presidential provincial council which was held at Torwood Redcliff  and they demand to know how much was given, how much was used ,how much left and where is it. They alleged that many delegates were left stranded without bus fare some used their own resources whilst others used party resources.

7: That as a province to date we have not yet done gap filling in almost 16 districts and we are expected to have primary elections in twelve of the sixteen districts that does not have properly constituted structures. They demanded an immediate stop to structure form filling exercise taking place in districts like Sasame, Nembudziya, Kabuyuni, Gokwe, Kana and others that this exercise is taking place. Their concern was that new structures will go to Harvest house but those structures will be manipulated for primary elections leaving the rightful position holders. They ask for election managers in the two senatorial constituencies of Gokwe south and Gokwe north respectively so that mid north will win in this vast district of Gokwe.
They also alleged that this structure form filling exercise is only known to two provincial members hence the demand for its stoppage.

8: That the voter registration exercise underway country wide is not happening in our province why? They demanded to know about that.

Lastly they said they now have no confidence in how the province is run by the main board hence they ask for the National team to come down to the ground and see for themselves.

After the youth chairperson presented their grievances people went into discussion   then agreed that next meeting will be Saturday 19/01/2013 at the provincial office. The deputy provincial chairperson,  the secretary, and the organizer were tasked to inform the districts chairpersons, the provincial chairperson ,the treasurer , all other members from the provincial three wings , all the national members in the province and the standing committee members and national executive members assigned to mid north to attend including the national organizing secretary.

In brief this is it in Mid north province
I feel as secretary of the province you play your part so that we will win the next elections ,  we have no provincial administrator since 2008.  Please, please fill that position is essential.
 Yours
  _________
Felix zifunzi   (provincial secretary)
