ZAPU To Split Before General Elections.

Zapu is sleep walking into Thamsanqa Zhou's trap. Yesterday the internet was awash with emails of what a Maphosa called a Resolution to Recall Dr Mguni the Secretary General of ZAPU.
Today allow me to define and interpret what is going to happen in Zapu; but before that I beg you to allow me to explore a little bit the source and the basis for this Recall Resolution, for the avoidance of any doubt, I want it to be known that I think Dr Mguni is a big problem in Zapu, I am still of the idea that he should go, however, let me explain why this Thamsanqa Recall Resolution will not succeed.
On the 10th December in Leicester in a meeting which was called by Zapu UK's 12 District Chairs to diagnose Zapu UK's problems and chatter a way forward was where this Recall Resolution was passed.
Firstly, the meeting was co-chaired by Elders Reginald Mhlanga, a decorated freedom fighter and Brian Muvirimi, the chair of Provincial Council of Elders. Whilst they were chairing, it is reported that an ordinary member of Zapu moved a motion to recall Dr Mguni for his incompetence and meddling in the UK province business. Elders counselled against such a move, citing lack of mandate for such a gathering to recall the secretary general of the party. I hear that Thamsanqa himself came up with his awkward legal explanation as to why the UK province has the power to recall Dr Mguni. When elders failed to counsel Thamsanqa and his gangsters, they threatened to leave and not to chair the meeting.
It is reported that Thamsanqa told the elders that they can't leave when there is a live motion. However, some of Thamsanqa's bootlickers threatened elders and told them to leave, when it became clear that the violence was about to erupt, the elders quietly left and one of Thamsanqa's boys took over and chaired the meeting and called himself a co-ordinator. We understand that when the many resolutions were made including the Recall Resolution, there were less than 10 people remaining; all District Chairs had left the meeting citing corruption and hijacking of the meeting by Thamsanqa and his G-gang. From this preceding explanation it is conspicuously clear that the Recall Resolution is as void as is illegal. I wish that this Recall Resolution was done properly, Zapu UK would now be left with one problematic man to deal with, and that is Thamsanqa Zhou himself.
Allow me to move on and explain the dangers which Zapu is facing; I will make audacious and brave predictions. Zapu will split before the next General elections, most probably during the campaign period; one of the Thamsanqa aids has unwittingly announced that they are in the process of forming a political party. I first dismissed this as unrealistic, but after digging deeper a bit, I am told that that is a big possibility, I was told that Thamsanqa has a platform to act as springboard already. I was told that Thamsanqa is now leading a group called ZUPA, which is composed of Zapu members. Just look at the name does not it say something to you? When I asked where Zupa will get its resources from, I was pointed at Marange diamonds, I could not understand the connection, but then an explanation was proffered to me. It seems that Obert Mpofu is behind the Thamsanqa political party, it is meant to confuse and undermine Zapu support base towards the elections. This Zupa, I am told had offices in one of Obert Mpofu's properties in Bulawayo from where all their operations and activities were directed, I am reliably informed that they only moved out when people started questioning their links.
In addition to the Recall Resolution I am reliably informed that inquorate meeting obdurately passed a Resolution to fire the UK Provincial Council of Elders and to reinstate the Molefe executive, which was kicked out on the orders of Dr Mguni. ZAPU is holding its NPC annual meeting today on the 16 December 2011, and Thamsanqa will be there armed to the teeth with these resolutions, he is hoping that this time around he has managed to outmanoeuvre Dr Mguni.
The NPC will not adopt Thamsanqa's resolution. Dabengwa beware the Ides of March.
