TODAY'S WORD
Romans 2 verse 23 You who take pride in the law, are you doing wrong to the honour of God by behaviour which is against the law?
We who claim to be Children of God should show this by our works. We should be ambassadors of his word and also follow his law. The people of the world should not have questions about us being children of God or not. Let us not practice what we preach but preach what we practice.
We have heard the saying, *actions speak louder than words*, this is no mean saying, it deserves our attention, its easy to talk but hard to do. That's why we have so many churches yet so few Christians embracing the practical gospel, so many theologians yet so few doers.
We are not only to be preachers of the word, but doers of the Word, that's where the impact of the word is seen as a living testimony. That's what makes the Word of God different from motivational talks, it doesn't only change your attitude, but you lifestyle as well, your habits and the likes. You begin to delight in saving souls from both spiritual and physical challenges. Without this we can never have a holistic approach to Christian life and bear the fruits thereof.
This is the basic rule of Christianity *Love your neighbour as you love yourself*. If you loved them so much as yourself wouldn't your go evangelise to them to have eternal life? Wouldn't you share the few resources you are blessed with with those orphans, widows and destitute? A spoken word alone is not enough, we need to live the word. To embrace God's law is to execute justice to all, and a good behaviour that abides by the law of God will draw men to Christ our Lord and Saviour.
KJV John 14:15
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:14
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
