Aspiring to be average

06 Mar 2017 at 09:15hrs | Views
When we aspire to be average or to just get by we don't expect the best for ourselves nor do we expect the best from others.

This disease is rife in post colonial Zimbabwe. Unfortunately it gives us a mediocre life where everything is a hassle. It need not be like that.

As far as I am concerned I am hardly inspired when I see some of our aspiring political leaders. They are average and lack excitement and vision.

Zimbabwe can be great again but we need followers who expect and demand the best. The best leadership and the best life conditions. It's possible all we need to do is to believe that indeed our country is blessed and we are currently living well below our standards.

Any new leaders must demonstrate to us their ability and vision to take us where we should be. Short of that they should just retire and give space to some of our younger generation who have better bigger and grand ideas of what we can all become.

We can never become what we can't imagine!
