From Zapu, To the British Government, with Love!
13 Jan 2012 at 06:39hrs | Views
Who said the Stockholm syndrome is a bad disease? Love is a choice, and falling in love with one's own tormenter is not always bad. It is the victim's choice to kiss or to spit on his tormenter and if one chooses to kiss, no one should question.
To every bad side, there is a good hiding and depending on the victim's response, bad could become turned into a blessing.
White British people have a divide and rule nature and one Black British Minister rightfully and correctly and factually said last week and she was bullied to submition.
But, facts remain witness and as usual, facts are stubborn. It is just the same as if someone would rightfully say that Black people have a poor organisational skill. Facts are there and clear that no matter how they want to be recognised as organised, Black Governments are all under standard. Many examples such as Mugabe's Zimbabwe which was jewel of Africa but now turned into potholes full of burst and stinking sewer waste.
White British must not view facts about their double standards, weather in during Colonial days or today, as racism. They have divide and rule mindset today but they won't see it. Divide and rule is a very bad thing and so bad that anyone who is victim to it would never choose to live under it. But, why is this Black writer writing from a White-man's country and still happier to remain there?
Britain has a law which says immigrants from outside the European Union should be restricted from coming to Britain. This law does not affect White Australians, White South Africans, White Zimbabweans or White Americans although they are not Europeans. This law will affect native Australians, Native New Zealanders, Black Americans, Black Zimbabweans and black South Africans.
No matter how much they strive to give excuses, all this is current proof that the British have a clear divide and rule nature in their genes and they must ask a neutral observer if this fact is not true.
In the midst of their divide and rule nature, Black people from all over the World all wish to have a lifetime opportunity to stay in Britain. Even Robert Mugabe the World Renounced British critic is still fighting the British to allow him an opportunity to come to Britain even for ten minutes.
Zimbabwe was a happy country at peace with the rest of the World in 1880. The opportunistic and war mongering British invaded my peaceful country without Visas or permition in 1889. They murdered our kings and queens and confiscated our livestock and mines. They used gun force to establish a Colonial regime which reduced us to perpetual poverty which is still affecting us today. They turned us from skilful citizens into a culture of dependence.
For one hundred years we were tamed to survive by working for a British Master in return for a few coins enough to buy food and come back to work the following day. We were not allowed to co-exist equally as a White British man in our own country.
It was until the Russian and Chinese granted us AK 47 riffles to shoot our way to Independence that the British curved in. Otherwise they strongly believed that we were destined slaves and undeserving to enjoy life as they did.
Evidently, every free Black all over the World had to use force to gain freedom. Without some level of force, the British would never consider that Black have tongues which taste KFC fried chicken just as the Whiteman do.
Because of British designed dependency of 1896, black Zimbabweans in particular found life very unbearable without the traditional White employer after 1980. Most White employers left Zimbabwe when Mugabe took over because they knew that Mugabe, like Kaunda of Zambia or Nyerere of Tanzania would run down the economy and they would loose their lucrative investments. They were not wrong, not at all, I also would have done the same because Black governments all over Africa have failed to improve economies of their very wealthy countries.
Soon after assuming power in 1980, Mugabe's Government started to run the Zimbabwean economy in a non-prudent manner for individual self-enrichment. Corruption, genocide and tribalism reminiscent of all African inferior organisational conduct, was introduced to Zimbabwe. Short lived overnight corrupt Zanu beneficiaries became millionaires at the expense of the Nation.
Most opposing voices were hunted down and shot and some buried alive just to guarantee that Mugabe would remain in power for ever like Kamuzu Banda, Mombutu Seseseko or Gadaffi.
A Nation tamed by Colonial divide and rule to a dependency culture found life too unbearable without the Master. The spontaneous human response was to trace the Master at any expense. Allow me to stress, I mean "TO TRACE THE MASTER AT ANY EXPENSE". Any expense indeed that even if death was to be risked, it would be an ideal worth venturing into.
I personally spent some days in 1983 without food in Zhombe during the Gukurahundi operation. Any Master who would come my way would have to carry me on his shoulder without an option of a no. The torture was tense and starvation was evil.
In 1988 when I escaped to South Africa in search for the Master, food, safety and indeed equal opportunity, I was welcomed by thousands of Zimbabweans in that country who had migrated for the same reasons. South Africa was still under cruel apartheid and anyone who has some brain should ask why Zimbabweans would leave their independent country for apartheid South Africa?
Was it the Stockholm syndrome or there is something more sinister that the White World conveniently choose to ignore?
Zimbabweans including myself were violently deported back to their independent country by apartheid South Africa but they resisted with death. They would rather die in the hands of a racist regime than be taken back to their independent Zimbabwe.
This is my direct question to the British government; if Zimbabweans resisted to be deported back to independent Zimbabwe by White racist South African Government of 1989, how easy hard would it be to deport a Zimbabwean from Britain in 2012?
Zimbabweans who came to seek asylum in Britain did not come by any accident. We followed our Master, his leadership, his protection, the opportunity he presents and in deed job. Our Master obliterated our self-dependency life-style in 1889 and moulded us to survive by serving the Master. Times have changed now and that Master servant culture is gone but the new life that the Whiteman brought us demands that we keep working for our former Master.
For any reason, the British should take into consideration that they made us what we are today. They should not then turn around and refuse us opportunity in their country because we have no any other choice.
If the British had not Colonised Zimbabwe, we would not be a sanctioned country today. None of us would have acquired Russian and Chinese brutality training to cling to power and murder countrymen. No European would be claiming any piece of land in Africa and Zimbabwe would be trading its minerals freely to America and Britain and sustaining it's citizens in the warmth of their homes. No Zimbabwean would be scrounging the streets of Britain seeking asylum.
I was following the story of Gladys Mabvira a Zapu member who was facing deportation. I am a Zimbabwean and a Zapu member living in the UK and I was granted status in 2010 after ten years of scrounging in this country. Britain has moulded me into a more useful citizen of the World and I now have confidence in myself a luxury that was not possible just three years ago. I wish every Zimbabwean living in the UK the same status as mine because I know how gainful it is for the World to produce confident and useful citizens.
I was intensely happy to learn that the British Government did listen and is now considering her fate. Nobody would refuse to go back to his own home unless there is something very wrong there. A free man does not need force to go back to his home. If you want to make an experiment, give Mabvira a chance to go to Switzerland without any condition and see if she won't voluntarily come back to Britain. The fact that she would definitely come back to Britain means that she is now British.
She was actually born British in Zimbabwe in the 70's and her 1978 Birth-Certificate has got Queen Victoria's insignia as like that of David Cameroon. Mabvira spoke English and dressed English from birth. She was groomed to be compactible to England and is actually English cultured. Like all English people around the World, Mabvira responds to problems the English ways and like the English, she does not want to be forced to take suicidal decisions like prematurely going back to Zimbabwe. She did not choose to be English cultured but it was forced unto her at gun point in 1894 by the English in Zimbawe and after a century, she can't shake off the Englishness. And yet she is not alone, all Zimbabweans who came to Britain ten years ago sold everything they had just to get a life time opportunity to come here for civilisation. The British did it first in 1888, they risked everything to get to Zimbabwe the land of opportunity of that day. The British remained in Zimbabwe for 100 years enjoying a good luxury life and they even died there refusing to come back to Britain.
The British living in Zimbabwe resisted to be sent back to Britain from 1888 until 1995. After 1980, the British living in Zimbabwe did not need force to go back home and they were not forcefully deported. They voluntarily left and Zimbabweans living in Britain today do not want to be forced to go back to a home which does not work for them. Their grandchildren will voluntarily go back one day when time is right.
We are much as human as the English and if the English were in the same situation which forced them to migrate to Zimbabwe in 1888, they must be quick to understand that we too are as much human and will go back home when time is right.
I personally fought the British in Rhodesia demanding independence but Mugabe did not work well for me. I had to track down the British to enjoy a better life. The British in Rhodesia were cruel and racist but I could survive. It is this survival factor which made me and many more to choose our tormentor over our liberator. The Stockholm syndrome is upon us and it is working well. Who said the Stockholm syndrome is a bad thing if I can walk freely under civilised peace?
I am a member of Zapu and I thank God for the British whose civilised courts barred one of us from being deported to a country she does not want to voluntarily go to. In my capacity as a Zapu member living in UK, I send my love to the civilised British government whose civilisation barred them from acts of cruel heroism and negative patriotism to send a troubled human being back to the cruelty she ran away from.
May civilisation prevail over cruel patriotism which even Mugabe uses to torment.
