The mystery and intrigue of Six Nyaus of Umvukwes

Outside Mvurwi, relatively few Zimbabweans know where six Nyaus is .Roughly north of Mvurwi town just about 10 kms along Mutorashanga road .
Six nyaus is a super stitious place where it is said Six Nyaus or Gures, horses a tractor and trailer mysteriously sunk unde ground due to its sacredness . It is said they disappeared and were no away to be seen . No one was allowed to pass through the place during those days. The place is water vlei or water logged . There is a hill just about few mtrs from six Nyaus where at present moment congregants are gathering for church service .
It is being said there is underground river at six Nyaus which connects to Chirorodziva of Sinoia Caves in Chinhoyi via green pool of Mutorashanga . Rumours say a tractor tried to pass through it and sunk deep underground and was nowhere to be seen. It is believed that it is haunted by the sprit mediums of the past and it was their place of worship .
People took it to be of no value to its sacredness . It led to the disappearance of six people of Malawian origins. They were keen to follow the Gure's culture. A tractor, trailer, six people, six horses riders disappeared . This continued to deepen the mystery.
Up to now this place is still sacred and you still find railways pillars barring people from entering. It is advisable to avoid trouble by not interfering with sacred places .
