Transitional Authority is a fraud and does not work - it is a political solution and Zimbabwe does not need a political solution but a Sovereign solution. Such a solution is only possible through the Sovereign National Conference.
Have you thought through the Transitional Authority setup? Who will draw the rules of the transition? Which constitutional statutes will you use to establish a Transitional Authority? How will you ensure the rules are fair game to everyone? How long will be the transition run and what will happen at the end of the transition? Such sign of confusion and desperation stinks. Opportunists like this must never be allowed to set foot in the echelons of power corridors.
Transition is not something you wake up to, it is not a hashed process. By calling for a transitional authority you are effectively calling for a new constitution. Zimbabweans themselves must support the transition, transition cannot be presented like a gift.
What is needed is for President Mnangagwa to fire all ministers except ministers of:
1. Defense (will oversee all security sectors)
2. Civil Service
3. Justice
4. Finance
5. Media
The permanent secretaries will be tasked to run the ministries for a period of one year. All employees will have to justify their positions; no results no job, it is that simple.
Any talk of transition must come through a process to determine if it is even warranted. If Zimbabwean people determine that it is warranted, maybe through a referendum, then the proper processes should be put into place.
