Inauguration exclusion for Mnangagwa! so what?

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa will not attend this week's inauguration of U.S. President Joe Biden, the invitation list did not include the president of Zimbabwe. It must be clear to any sane person that the invitation does not change the political trajectory of Zimbabwe. Kusaudzwa rufu hakumutsi mufi, The democratic questionable Americans decide to skip Mnangagwa from the proceedings at the U.S. Capitol on January 20 along with North Korean president Kim Jong Il and the American blacklisted rulers of Iran, Vietnam and Belarus. Surprisingly the president Mnangagwa is considered a serious security threat. America is so afraid of president Mnangagwa and already forgetting the real security risk Trump. The man who commandeered a mob in the Capitol killing over five people. Instead of arresting Trump America want to lecture to other countries by acting in a selfish manner to detract observers from scrutinising a disputed election. When Nelson Chamisa sang about illegitimacy that was sweet music and when Trump does it they ignore and no one is put on sanctions. That is double standards by America.
America is so much scared of cde Mnangagwa having declared him a threat who encouraged violence that followed the police killing of George Floyd. It is no doubt that the American's have a paranoia. The other reason speculated by the American's was the information provided by the U.S. intelligence agency, the Office for Foreign Assets Control that Mnangagwa was involved in grand corruption, moving billions of dollars of state funds from the Treasury to offshore accounts run by his henchman Kudakwashe Tagwirei and a front company called Sotic International, registered in Mauritius but with secret financial dealings in the British Virgin Islands. Tagwirei was placed under sanctions by Donald Trump in August 2020. There has been no evidence whatsoever that the President of Zimbabwe is in any business partnership with Tagwirei or his companies. The onslaught on the president is an ongoing attack on Zimbabwe and its interest. It is not the first attack on Zimbabwe by the American's. The Americans have got a trail of systematic attacks on Mnangagwa. Mnangagwa was first blacklisted in 2001, when the MDC brought unfounded allegations that he was the architect of the extreme violence that accompanied invasion of white-owned farms and elections.
Despite security concerns, the inauguration is expected to be a festive event attended in person or virtually by people from around the world, from government representatives to celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi and Ant. The inauguration itself does not have any relevance on Zimbabwe or its people. The invitations are just ways of massaging the American's ego. Friends and allies have come to distrust the United States. Trust is closely related to truth, and President Donald Trump is notoriously loose with the truth. All presidents have lied, but never on such a scale that it debases the currency of trust. International polls show that America's soft power of attraction has declined sharply over Trump's presidency.
Can President-elect Joe Biden restore that trust? In the short run, yes. A change of style and policy will improve America's standing in most countries. Trump was an outlier among US presidents. The presidency was his first job in government, after spending his career in the zero-sum world of New York City real estate and reality television, where outrageous statements hold the media's attention and help you control the agenda.
In contrast, Biden is a well-vetted politician with long experience in foreign policy derived from decades in the Senate and eight years as vice president. Since the election, his initial statements and appointments have had a profoundly reassuring effect on allies. Biden became a Senator in 1972. Yes 1972. It is therefore ironic that Biden can be qualified to choose the people he says have overstayed in politics. Biden has overstayed and is not qualified to force his democracy down the throat of any country.
Trump's problem with allies was not his slogan "America First." Presidents are entrusted with promoting the national interest. The important moral issue is how a president defines the national interest. Trump represented the inner feelings of the Americans and his actions are a true exposure of what America is truly about, selfish arrogant supremacist nation, self appointed is the referee of democratic indulgence. The real issue is that America is a selfish force of destabilisation for resource exploitation. Check out, DRB, Sierra Leon and Zimbabwe cannot be stable, Why? They are well endowed with resources and destabilisation creates the American highway to exploitation of such resources. The absence of cde Mnangagwa at this sham of a democratic gathering is a blessing to Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe will not endorse the disputed elections. No American action or Zimbabwean determines the legitimacy of the other's elections.
To start with there is CORONA. It will be irresponsible for the president to burn the dollars only to congratulate a dictator dressed like a democrat. Never in the history of democracy that an inauguration is watched over by thirty thousand heavily armed soldiers and tens of thousands secret service. Washing DC today resembles a war zone and our beloved president would not have attended such a confused militarily imposed inauguration.
The president does not feel anything by the omission of his name on the table of force. The person who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The person who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been before. So the president should not follow the crowd going to America.
We have come this far with all weather friends and we will stick with them. The fact that Zimbabwe is open for business does not mean we are open to abuse. This inauguration is not of any economic benefit to Zimbabwe. We had never had a single American president in our country so we never cried to have our president in America. President Mnangagwa is leading by example therefore Zimbabweans are fighting Corona by staying at home. So he is staying home with his people. Trump chose narrow transactional definitions and, according to his former national security adviser, John Bolton, sometimes confused the national interest with his own personal, political, and financial interests. This is the difference with President Mnangagwa, he does what is best for his people the Zimbabweans. In further contrast, Zimbabwe has often taken a broad view of the national interest and did not confuse it with personal joy. Mnangagwa saw that staying at home was in Zimbabwe's national interest.
US President-elect Joe Biden may have promised a "return to normalcy," but the truth is that there is no going back. The world is changing in fundamental ways, and the actions the world takes in the next few years will be critical to lay the groundwork for a sustainable, secure, and prosperous future. There is no future in attending many inaugurations. We cannot be fooled by an invitation to an inauguration Zimbabwe is open for business not inaugurations. As a nation we do not take offence in nothings. The inauguration itself is a non-event for Zimbabwe.
At a time of unprecedented uncertainty, that mission might be a risky venture. We need to stay safe and stay at home. We need to beat Corona even more – and we remain committed to fulfilling it. To call the forthcoming US presidential inauguration of Joe Biden unprecedented would be an overstatement. Covid-19 demands social distancing—only a limited number of people will be able to attend the event, which would otherwise attract hundreds of thousands. An art installation featuring 191,500 American flags and 56 light pillars (one for each state and territory) will replace crowds on the mall.
The theme of the inauguration is "America United," but signs of a country divided will be everywhere. Donald Trump, having just been impeached for encouraging a mob to storm the Capitol, will not attend. The incoming president will have military escorts, and the whole of Washington DC will be on high alert, so great is the risk of violence from those who refuse to accept the result of a democratic election.
So America must put its effort on its splitting nation and "Let Zimbabwe be Zimbabwe". We are not moved by the invitation which was not. We have a lot on our plate. We know America's envy for Zimbabwe in building a village for an embassy in Zimbabwe, Why! Why! Why? There are too many countries which do not sniff anything close to a rule by the people for the people but are friends of America whose legitimacy is not an issue and some of them are angels of the inauguration, what a shame, double standards. So, Zimbabwe's political terrain remains intact without the invitation to the inauguration.
