SADC also fed up with Zanu-PF roguery

For decades, SADC countries have been playing their usual big brother role to successive Zanu-PF governments, shielding them from international condemnation for oppressive rule and corruption and always rubber-stamping Zimbabwean shoddy general elections. Even when this came at a cost to their economies, thus the aftermath of an influx of economic migrants and political refugees. The only voice heard crying in the wilderness was that of Ian Khama of Botswana while the rest, in typical "brotherhood" fashion, turned a blind eye to Zimbabwe's horrific culture of intimidation, torture, corruption, and heavy-handedness on its citizens.
But now, the plot thickens. Enter Hichilema of Zambia. The SADC Observer Mission has for the first time in decades, made a stern assessment of Zimbabwe's management of general elections. But why now? The reason is in plain sight. All the neighbouring countries to Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique just to mention a few, are teeming with Zimbabwean economic migrants and political refugees. The neighbouring countries are bursting at the seams with Zimbabwean migrants and their local people are not amused. Even countries as far afield as Lebanon, Qatar, United Kingdom, Australia, they are dealing with Zimbabwean migrants fleeing their country. On the contrary, successive Zanu-PF governments see this as "business as usual" and want to forge ahead with their grim culture of intolerance, intimidation, suppression, corruption, mismanagement, and nepotism. SADC countries are finally awakening to reality, that Zanu-PF has a grisly culture of oppression, suppression, and misrule in Zimbabwe. Zanu-PF's incompetence cannot be hidden anymore.
Zimbabwe once an economic gem in the region and a hub of prosperity, has descended into an unrecognisable economic abyss since the leadership Zanu-PF. Zanu-PF has not only failed to maintain the civilisations left by white governments, but they have even wiped out any iota of civilisation in Zimbabwe. The long queues, delays, blurred photocopies, intimidation, violence, death, chaotic organisation, time mismanagement and inefficiency, all characterising the current general election is reflective of how Zanu-PF have been running the country for the past four decades. This is the rotten culture of impunity, oppression, mismanagement, corruption, inefficiency, and recklessness which SADC now wants to stop. Well done SADC, for an objective peer review.
