I write this message to you today, exactly 2 months after you showed your trust, faith, and unwavering spirit in support of my candidature and voted for me to be your Member of Parliament on 23 August 2023.
It is with immense joy and gratitude that I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who entrusted me with the monumental responsibility of providing leadership for Nkulumane over the next five years.
Nkulumane, a name that echoes the strength and resilience of our ancestors, resonates through history as the place named after Prince Nkulumane, the firstborn son of the great founder of pre-colonial Zimbabwe, King Mzilikazi. Today, we embark on a journey to awaken the giant that is Nkulumane. Together, we shall make Nkulumane roar to life, not only for Bulawayo, not only for Zimbabwe but for the entire world to hear our triumphant song.
To the dedicated mothers who tirelessly nurture our families, the fathers who provide strength and guidance, our revered church leaders and residents association leaders who guide us in faith and community matters, the university students whose dreams we nurture, the business persons who drive our economy, the vendors who tirelessly trade on our streets, and the arts organizations that color our culture - I extend my deepest gratitude. You are the lifeblood of Nkulumane, and under my leadership, your voices will be heard, your concerns addressed, and your dreams realized.
I pledge to be a humble servant of the people, a representative who will listen to everyone, regardless of gender, race, creed, or political affiliation. Together, we shall transcend our differences, for we are one community with one shared destiny.
In light of this new beginning, I extend to you all an invitation, a resonating call to attend the Siyabonga - Victory Citizens Celebration. This gathering, set to take place in mid-November, will not only celebrate our victory but also pave the way for real development in our beloved constituency. It will be a time of unity, of solidarity, and of renewed hope.
Let us make this moment the first chapter of a new story for Nkulumane, a story filled with promise, prosperity, and the resounding voice of progress. I am truly excited and honored to embark on this journey with you, my fellow residents. Together - Let's make Nkulumane Proud Again, and our legacy will resonate for generations to come.
