The Mozambican state leadership must exercise maximum force to put an end to these disruptions and uphold the stability of the state and SADC region. It is completely unacceptable for a politician who barely secured 20% of the vote to hold an entire nation hostage when the legitimate winner earned an undeniable mandate with over 71%.
The interests of ordinary citizens must take precedence. People have businesses to run, schools to attend, jobs to maintain, and families to support. The country can not and should not be paralysed by the tantrums of a political sore loser with no respect for the democratic process. It's time to enforce order and prevent this self-serving individual from destabilising the nation to satisfy their personal grievances.
Why is it that every Western-backed political party consistently refuses to accept election results as legitimate unless they’re the ones winning? This blatant refusal to acknowledge a fair defeat is nothing but arrogance and utter contempt for democratic values. They should look to the liberation movements that actually respect the will of the people and have the dignity to concede defeat. Their stubbornness exposes them for what they truly are - power-hungry opportunists, willing to destabilise entire nations just to satisfy their selfish agendas.
