Ncube and Chamisa are one coin with two sides: Gugugu Magorira

3 hrs ago | Views
Please do not play with our intelligence. Welshman Ncube is the worst politician we can think of today. Ncube is part of the problem too, just like Chamisa. Professor Mandaza told Chamisa to come clean and tell us why he left the CCC leadership. Why did Chamisa fail to explain to the voters why he left the leadership of CCC. Again, what makes Gugugu think Ncube is the best option? Since when did Ncube become relevant in Zimbabwean body politics? According to many people, even in Matabeleland, Ncube is a political reject. He cannot be a replacement in any leadership change in Zimbabwe.

Fadzai Mahere said, we need new names in opposition. Ncube is a recycled politician who has sold his own soul and that of the people, not only in Matabeleland, nationally. He is a CIO appendage in as much as Nelson Chamisa. Don't fool us, we know these spent forces in the opposition parties. The entire opposition must leave political stages now, and we see how we can renew Zimbabwe politics with the assistance of technocrats who will pave way for a genuine leadership. Zimbabwean people are sick and tired of insincere opposition leaders: name all of them in the echelons of political leaderships.

Welshman Ncube was absent from the Mnangagwa farm visit last time. However, we should never buy this to mean he is politically correct and cleaner than other opposition leaders: in retrospect Ncube is worse than Tshabangu. Why is Gugugu silent about Tshabangu who is politically messing up an already messed up CCC opposition: How does Gugugu manage to single out Nelson Chamisa to be CIO and not Tshabangu? Who voted for Tshabangu to be member of the Senate? How did Tshabangu become Secretary General of CCC? Why did Ncube fail to file a legal complaint to the courts about Tshabangu's political presence without a clear mandate from the people. Be it Welshman Ncube, or Nelson Chamisa or Tshabangu and many of them in CCC, are imposters of CIO. Zimbabweans, let us be clear about facts, without tribal excuses, about who is derailing political change in the nation.

Yes, we know all that, that Chamisa is now irrelevant in political discourse. We also know that Chamisa is tribalistic in his actions politically. But the question remains: both Ncube and Chamisa are corrupted through and through by Zanu PF. Chamisa can't win elections: some gentlemen's agreement was made behind our backs between CCC-Chamisa and Zanu PF. Proforma, Chamisa agrees to go for elections without any reforms on the ground and cries foul when he loses. This is a normalized script that will revise itself every 5 years. There are cash payments done behind our backs how opposition politicians compete to sellout souls of the departed and the living. We lost about millions of citizens who fought for freedom and independence. Their conscience allows this, to continue to sellout, collect blood money to put bread and butter for their immediate families. To say Welshman Ncube is better than Chamisa is tattermount to saying Mnangagwa is better than Chiwenga. All these politicians both in power and those in the opposition must leave the political platforms and the people will craft a better political, economic, and social trajectory and clean the mess. Both Ncube and Chamisa were in the trenches for a quarter of a century. It is a joke if not an insult to still think Ncube can rescue this nation, a pit-latrine political and economic mess. What change can Ncube give if he is failing his legal profession?

Mr. Gugugu, it is tasteless to use tribal differences we have between Shona and Ndebele to sanitize Ncube. Politically speaking Ncube is poisonous in our political landscape. Ask the people of Matabeleland if Welshman Ncube could replace Chamisa leadership: the answer will be NO. Ncube is a chancer and opportunistic in his dealings. All MDCs and CCCs put together have tried and failed for two and a half decades to unseat Zanu PF. How does Ncube become political astute and relevant now after a quarter of a century "chasing a wild goose". I realize in your article that you are trying hard to muddle in tribal instinct to argue political astuteness and correctness in Ncube, better than Chamisa, you said. Painfully, it's so wrong. This time around your statement is irrelevant in argument, out of realms of good sense.

Another article written by Innocent Ndibali today is worth to comment about. The EFF or the Economic Freedom fighters, a replicate of EFF in South Africa has been in the political arena for about 14 years. Today Ndibali talks about how he would have loved to join Tshabangu group if he was invited; visit Mnangagwa farm and learn from the Führer about good farming. This is how desperate these young people are if they want to be relevance in the Trump era. Ndibali must know that visiting the farm was more about the 2030 mantra: Mnangagwa ave panyanga until 2033. The mantra changes every minute.

I must ask one question, why is EFF politically irrelevant from the day of its inception, yet the EFF in South Africa has made political strides: Comrade Malema and the lot are in parliament. Zimbabwe EFF is cozying with the ruling party. That does not constitute serious politics. There is no backbone in their actions. How they backed Dr. Grace Mugabe when she had power then; they neared themselves to Professor Jonathan Moyo down the line. Now they want to see themselves talking Zanu PF sentiments to get recognition. These are young people exposed to global geo-politics: we thought they would knew better and will act better politically.

I was chatting with an old comrade I cannot name, He said, the way forward in Zimbabwe is to put in place an NTA administration: no political parties.  Professor Mandaza, Dr. Nkosana Moyo, Prof. Mutambara, Prof. Gaidzanwa, Mr. Tendai Mbofana, Dr. Mildred Mkandla, Mr. Wilbert Mukori, Ms. Grace Kwinjeh, and several other technocrats must come together and craft a way forward: an economic, social and economic different trajectory of the past is necessary to give some confidence in the nation. NTA is an interim and not permanent. Allowing NTA for three years will give a platform for political parties and formations time to contest in an environment that has reformed in all aspects, is the way to go. My scatter shots.
