Man stabs friend over beer dispute

A beer-fueled dispute in Centenary turned violent when 25-year-old Richard Mondoza allegedly stabbed his friend, Godfrey Machipisa (38), in the neck during an argument at a local bar.
The incident occurred on October 3 around 10:00 PM, and police have since launched a full investigation.
Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Lucy Chigwenhese, confirmed the case.
"We are investigating an attempted murder case in Centenary where Mondoza allegedly stabbed his friend while drinking beer at a local bar," Chigwenhese said.
Machipisa was initially rushed to Centenary Clinic before being referred to St Albert's Hospital, where he remains admitted in serious condition.
Mondoza is currently assisting police with investigations.
