Where to now Prophet Mambo?
04 Feb 2014 at 19:23hrs | Views
On the 23rd of January the world woke to an intimidating prophecy that President Robert Mugabe was going to die on the 3rd of February 2014.
Result FALSE!
A self proclaimed prophet, 39 year old Tichatonga Mambo "recovered" from his dream and declared that President Mugabe would die peacefully in his sleep on the night of the 3rd February 2014. Today is the 4th and precisely 22:30 at the time of writing this article and President Mugabe is alive may be not well, may be not strong that we can't determine here but certainly he is alive.
Prophet Mambo emphasised in his prophecy that God had come to him a in a dream and told him with specifics how and when the president was going to die and he was definite it was going to come true. The president himself has always warned Zimbabweans never to live on dreams but leave the dreams in their bedrooms. "Zviroto zviroto ngazvisare kumabedroom uko" always says Mugabe.
"Prophet" Mpofu had predicated that the President would die in his sleep (last night) and the news of his death would be swiftly proclaimed to the country and the world over in a very peaceful environment. We have been glued to our TVs and Radio since morning waiting for the news and now late news has been read but nothing of that sort has been reported.
Zimbabwe has in recent days been so perplexed with Prophets who have been proclaiming anything that comes into their head as a prophecy from God. So weird have been some of the prophecies that the country was left in a huge confusion some believing it and some not. Mpofu's one has being one of the top if not most absurd ones. The latest to rock the country was when a Bulawayo prophet declared that the Zimbabwe National Soccer team was going to beat Lybia by three goals to nil in the African Nations Semi Final but the team went on to lose.
Where is Prophet Tichatonga Mambo (if not Prophet Tichaona Manga) right now to try and explain why the country has not seen what he saw in his much published prophecy. According to the Bible, the gift of prophecy does not just fall on anyone wishing to burden people by claiming to see what lies ahead for them. A prophet comes by a calling from God and must be carried out only on the instruction of God not as and when the "prophet" feels like picking on a thing to say and make a few bucks.
