Mugabe has the mother of nightmares, his spokesman reveals

R G Mugabe spokesman, George Charamba, inadvertently, explains that sleeping during the day is the cause for nightmares and his boss is in the middle of the mother of all nightmares!

"Unless Madhuku is the assassin," Charamba said, "I have absolutely no reason to follow his nightmare; he has slept at the wrong time and you know if you sleep during daytime you develop nightmares."

Charamba was responding to National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) leader and UZ Professor, Lovemore Madhuku, who had suggested that Zimbabweans would go to war if Grace Mugabe was made president of the country.

"It would be absurd to wake up one day and be told Grace is the President. We would go to war," said Professor Madhuku.

So sleeping at the wrong time causes nightmares! Well that is interesting (scientific nonsense but that is to be expected coming from a propagandist)! Judging from the number of pictures one has seen of Mugabe fast asleep at the UN and other public forums one would be tempted to believe that the tyrant does little else other than sleep during the day. If he is not ranting and raving about the "the illegal sanctions imposed by evil imperialists" he must be fast asleep.

Still, many of us would have attributed his political and economic nightmares to decades of corruption and tyrannical misrule but would add sleeping during the day to that too.

No one can ever deny that having one party divided and have members clocked in mortal combat is not a nightmare scenario for any part leader. But as if that was not bad for Mugabe, the tyrant has that empty ZimAsset begging bowl mocking him, a grim reminder that he has failed to rig economic recovery. A year since he rigged the national elections the national economy is now sinking into the abyss fast.

So even if the Mnangagwa faction Mugabe is backing wins this dog-eat-dog fight, none of them will even have the time to celebrate the victory and to lick their wounds because the consequences of the economic meltdown will overwhelm them!

To Professor Madhuku and all would be assassin; there is no need to be involved. The economic meltdown is like a python with its coils round the regime and the squeezing has started. This regime is going nowhere. Anyone who assassinates R G Mugabe or his wife will only be delivering a blow to one already dead - Mucheka dzafa. The real danger with such as act would be to risk starting a war. A war even Mujuru's supporters will be ill advised to because the economic meltdown, the python will only release Mugabe to wrap its coils round them!

Mr Charamba, the real assassin here is the rampant corruption behind the economic meltdown and irony of ironies it was Mugabe himself who was created the problem through his political patronage system and by denying there was corruption. And so for the last 34 years this cancer has had the time to grow and spread. Now the cancerous tumours are everywhere and his head is the Medusa Head from which they all grow.

It is pointless cutting off the individual tumour because, as was the case in the classic tale, ten more tumours will grow in its place. The only solution here is to cut-off Medusa's Head; Mugabe and Zanu PF must go. There will be regime change; Mugabe's very worst nightmare and one he has beaten, raped, rigged elections and even committed mass murder to stop from ever happening. And now the nightmare in all its grim details is unfolding before his own eyes whether he is having one of his cat-naps or is awake, day or night. There is no rest for the wicked! What a nightmare!
