Mujuru dismisses corruption charges against her as trivial - she deserves to be dumped

For the last two months Grace Mugabe has maintained a barrage of personal attack against VP Mujuru accusing of being corrupt and plotting to push Mugabe out of office. Grace has made repeated calls for VP Mujuru to resign or she will be "dumped".
VP Mujuru has finally decided to answer back publicly.
The nation is facing really difficult economic hardship with far reaching consequences; 300 000 or 80% of the children out of school, 16% or 2 million people are now living in abject poverty, etc. The factional fighting in Zanu PF is a distraction, at best, that the nation can do without. At worst the factional fighting could easily drag the nation into a protracted period of political instability or worse. Of course the nation was expecting VP Mujuru to deal with this factional warfare in a decisive manner to put an end to the matter. Sadly VP Mujuru's responsible has been a great disappointment.
All Mai Mujuru has done is dismiss all the allegations levelled against her as trivial and present herself as a unifying force in Zanu PF.
"Tirikutora nguva yakawanda, yakawandisisa tichiita zvisina mubhadharo," she said. (We are wasting time, a lot of time doing the wrong things.)
"Ndoda kuti (vaMugabe) vaone kuti dzidzo yavakandipa yashanda. Handidi kuvashaisa hope .. . . Dzidzo inofanira kundibatsira kuunganidza nyangwe vasingandifarire hazvimbondirwadza kuti havandide asi pane achabenefita panezvandakupa ariseri kwako," said Dr Mujuru at her graduation party. ( I want (President Mugabe) to see that the education he imparted in me is working. I do not want him to lose sleep . . . Education must help me unite even though there some do not like me it does not bother me because someone will benefit who is behind you.)
Corruption is not a trivial matter; the root cause of the country's crippling economic meltdown is the rampant corruption.
For decades this Zanu Pf regime has vehemently denied that corruption was a problem; this has only allowed this cancer to grow and spread and today it is the one killing the nation's economy. We need to deal with this cancer if we are ever to revive the economy so that those children out of school can finally go back, the millions starving can have one decent meal a day, etc.
Last year Mai Mujuru infuriated the nation by denying this serious problem of rampant corruption claiming this was concussion of those behind "regime change". New Zimbabwe has saved her speech home page, see youtube video VP MUJURU Corruption Shocker. Sadly she did not learn from that gaff and is at it again.
It is no secret that Mai Mujuru is one of the few individuals in Zimbabwe who are filthy rich. It is no secret too that she has no talents, hidden or otherwise, which can only mean she made her vast fortune from corrupt activities. Grace Mugabe accused her of "illicit dealing in diamonds".
After decades of denying there was corruption we need to first of all finally publicly acknowledge this a serious problem and then deal with it. Mai Mujuru must address this issue with the seriousness and urgency it demands.
Mai Mujuru; are you once again denying that there is no corruption? And more to the point; are you denying that you are corrupt?
If uniting Zanu PF means sweeping teething national problems like rampant corruption under the carpet with the economic consequences of thousands of children denied a basic education and millions forced into a life of abject poverty, etc. as is already happening; then it is too high a price to pay.
The Zanu PF Politburo meeting which was supposed to address the serious allegation Grace Mugabe made against VP Mujuru. If all the latter is going to do is deny something as obvious as she being corrupt then the Politburo will have no problem finding guilty and condemning her. Her continual denial of corruptions right to the end only shows she has not repented and cares not for the tragic suffering this corrupt, murderous and tyrannical regime – of which she is a very active member of - has brought to this nation.
