Gumbo is the deceptive Nhegure who said nothing for donkey years but only discover his voice now!

Rugare Gumbo says Zimbabweans must stand up to Mugabe and not remain prisoners of fear.
"Hahaha! I am not apologetic for whatever I have been saying" reply Gumbo when he was asked if he was going to apologise for being critical of Mugabe. "That has always been my stance and there is nothing to apologise for. Zimbabweans want real issues to be resolved and not for us to remain prisoners of fear". Always, what is he wittering about!
All these years Rugare Gumbo, like everyone else in Zanu PF, has been very careful never to contradict much less criticise Mugabe. Whatever the tyrant said or did no one in the party dared to challenge it. Of it was fear that stopped people criticising Mugabe and for people like Gumbo who were in positions of power and influence and had their snouts in the feeding trough enjoying the spoils of power, it was the fear of being thrown off the gravy train that stopped them challenging Mugabe.
A few weeks ago Rugare Gumbo was thrown off the gravy train when Mugabe kick him out of the ruling party and ever since Gumbo has rediscovered his voice and his criticism of Mugabe has been as shrill as Nhengure's, the common African black bird, and just as deceptive.
Nhengure has a high pitched warning call. It likes to forage for worms and insects with meerkats picking up them in the wake of the latter digging. The meerkats do not mind this since Nhengure also provide the extra lookout service.
When food is scarce Nhengure is known to sound the alarm sending the meerkats scampering for cover abandoning the meal that one of the meerkat had just uncovered which the bird coveted. Indeed Nhengure will even imitate the meerkat's own warning cry.
After being cheated a few times out of their meal, the meerkats quickly learn not to trust Nhengure. They will have one of their own on lookout-duty and listen to his warning calls alone.
People like Simba Makoni, Dumiso Dabengwa, Morgan Tsvangirai, Tendai Biti, etc. have all been champions of human rights, freedom, liberty and justice but they all lost their voices when they were in the positions of power and influence. As long as they were on the gravy train they had nothing to say against Mugabe and his corrupt and tyrannical regime. The day the tyrant kicked them off the gravy train – miracles of miracles the saw the injustice of the regime and had the voice to speak out against these injustices. Rugare Gumbo is one no different from Simba Makoni and others!
There is a time when the deceptive Nhengure might as well be shouting "Leave that worm for me!" because the meerkats will not be so easily fooled. The people of Zimbabwe have been taken for a ride by people like Rugare Gumbo for donkey years, he is does not care about human rights or the suffering masses now no more than he did before he was kicked out of Zanu PF, he is as deceptive and selfish as Nhengure!
