Gumbo should stop wittering and tell the truth of Zanu PF's self-destruct gene Mugabe

Speaking in an interview with the Daily News yesterday, the fearless war veteran said his overplayed dismissal was a non-event that would not stop him from speaking frankly about the ugly goings-on in Zanu-PF.

"It (the congress) is a circus and Zanu-PF has become child's play. How, for example does one get expelled for telling the truth?" he asked rhetorically, adding, "All this is being done by mafikizolos"

"If some of us don't tell the truth about the goings-on in the party, who will?" asked Rugare Gumbo, rhetorically.

"Most people are scared to death of raising opposing views with President Mugabe but I'm not. I can't be intimidated by this and mahumbwe chaiwo aakuitika kuparty (things are now done in a childish way in the party)." Well, well! Gumbo is really pealing it up now!

Sadly Mr Gumbo is still of the old school, talk incessantly by the suffering masses when all he really cares about is himself or more specifically that he lost his position on the Zanu PF feeding trough. He blames the Oppah Muchinguri, Patrick Zhuwao, Saviour Kasukuwere and Jonathan Moyo; the "vulture", "mafikizolos" for his fall.

"There is no doubt that we are a party and country in crisis. What makes me very sad is that the perpetrators of this anarchy don't care at all what this all does to the party, president Mugabe's legacy and the country. It's tragic," he said.

The real tragedy Mr Gumbo is that for the last 34 years no one dared speak the truth of that   Mugabe and Zanu PF had betrayed everything the nation stood for, thousands died for and hoped independence would bring – justice, peace, freedom, human rights and dignity and a fair share of the nation's wealth and riches for all Zimbabweans – to create the gravy train for the ruling elite.

Mugabe and Zanu PF ruling elite saw the gravy train as a just reward for the dominant role he and the party played in the liberation war. It is a nonsense argument of course because how can they claim to have freed the people and yet deny them freedom and all those basic human freedoms and rights that make freeman free.

The ordinary people did not dare speak the truth of the Zanu PF tyranny out for fear of intimidation, beatings, rape and murder at the hands of the regime's thugs. The regime has murdered over 30 000 innocent Zimbabweans for political gain in its 34 years in power.

As for people like you Mr Gumbo, Joice Mujuru and others still in Zanu PF or others how were party members but have since fallen out of favour with the tyrant like Simba Makoni, Dumiso Dabengwa, etc. you did not dare speak against the gravy train for fear of losing your share of the absolute political power and the looted wealth and life of luxury it promised.

Regare Gumbo is nothing but an unrepentant Zanu PF thug with a large ego whose only wish is to get back on the Zanu PF gravy train. He is masquerading as a fearless man speaking the truth to feed his balloon size ego. He does not know the meaning of the word truth otherwise he would not be wittering about damaging Mugabe's "legacy"! Mugabe is a corrupt and murderous tyrant who has betrayed the nation denying the people their freedoms, basic human rights and dignity and hope.

The on-going chaotic and violent breakup of Zanu PF is a just and fitting end to a violent and chaotic party that has brought nothing to the nation but suffer, despair and death. The Zanu PF that is emerging out of this self-destruct phase is a weak and feeble party that will find in the economic meltdown a more formidable and determined foe. Unlike Joice Mujuru or Morgan Tsvangirai whom Mugabe was able to cheat and bamboozle, the economic meltdown will be no pushover.

Mugabe's "legacy" of decades of gross mismanagement and rampant corruption are the root cause of the economic meltdown. He has denied these problems and blamed the poor economic performance on "illegal sanctions imposed by the evil western imperialists". This has only allowed the mismanagement and corruption to grow and spread. Now they are like chickens that have come home to roost only their numbers are like red-billed quelea.

If wishes were horses then beggars would ride. Zimbabwe's economic meltdown is one wish Mugabe would want to go away because right now, it is the one riding him! Whatever party Mugabe salvages from the on-going self-destruct purge taking place in Zanu PF will be weak and feeble and it is the economic meltdown that will deliver the coup de grace!

Zanu PF is doomed; it was doomed the day it took on the self-destruct gene in the form of a corrupt and murderous tyrant called Robert Gabriel Mugabe as its leader and the rest of the members said nothing about it.
