Rhodesians never die, for sure

IF that kid who shot black people in a church in the US did not have a connection to this land of ours, we would be forgiven for paying a cursory attention to it.
White America has been killing black folk there like blacks are some kind of pests.
The racism and the killings are so institutionalised and the message is simply that black lives don't matter in America, the supposed land of the free.
Now this white kid, Dylann Roof, killed black people and he sported a jacket with the flags of apartheid South Africa and Rhodesia.
We now know that stuff already.
There are interesting titbits too.
Some of them include the fact that he commented to a pal, Joseph Meek Jnr, recently that, "blacks were taking over the world. Someone needed to do something about it for the white race."
Meek, quoted by AP, says Roof said he wanted segregation between whites and blacks? (and) kept talking about it.
Another contemporary of his, John Mullins, says Roof "made a lot of racist jokes".
Unsurprisingly, he is pictured at one point posing on a car bearing a "Confederate States of America" registration plate.
During the American Civil War, the confederates of the South fought to "keep slavery around as a means of economic prosperity for white plantation owners", as one commentator succintly puts it.
Now, that is our Roof kid, deeply racist.
What is surprising is that he has not been called that.
He has been called a white supremacist and a hate criminal.
In other times and places, and indeed races, he would be a terrorist.
Which he is.
Funny that the white media is shying away from the word – it has to be arrogated to other races.
And don't you begin to see the complicity and institutionalisation of racism in America and Europe?
Rhodesia never dies
There is a book by that title.
And there is a song, too, part of a cache of "patriotic" songs that would make you cringe at the racism and the spirit of Rhodesia.
You go on YouTube and hear for yourself.
Let's sample a couple.
The "Rhodesians never die" praises the "11th day of November" – the day UDI was declared in 1965 by Ian Smith - and says this was "much against the wishes if certain governments whose leaders tried to break us down".
It goes on, in part: "All Rhodesians fight through thick and thin and keep our land a free land/So the enemy coming in we keep them north of Zambezi till that river is running dry/This land will prosper for Rhodesians never die."
The song speaks of "our men and boys" "fighting for something they hold dear" and promises to "preserve this little nation for our children's children too".
It continues: "Once you are a Rhodesian no other land will do?will stand tall in the sunshine with the truth on our side/And if we go, we go along with pride."
There is another number called "Rhodies Everywhere" which boasts that you will find Rhodesians everywhere from Australia to Papua New Guinea and right in the FBI or KGB.
"They are a happy little nation/despite their situation/If you need them they will be there/Because there are Rhodesians everywhere."
Another song glorifies the massacres Rhodesian forces inflicted in Mozambique and Zambia and concludes gloatingly: "They don't forget their May Day?so why the hell should we?"
Those are unrepentant Rhodesians for you.
That is the same mentality that has been drilled into youngsters like Roof who was born in America 14 years after Zimbabwe's independence and the year of the supposed end of apartheid in South Africa.
The Rhodies still have their functions and get-togethers, just like Boers do in South Africa, and drill the sort of ideologies that make kids like Ruff kill black people.
They are not bound by geography.
Rhodesia is a state of mind.
They plan to rule the black man again.
If they had their way, they would kill us all.
They probably plan to.
That is why somebody says the only white imperialist you can trust is a dead one.
And if Rhodesians don't die, it means we are in mortal combat with Rhodesians and more are being born.
Our land, our Zimbabwe
We should be prepared to fight for this country to defeat the bad guys called Rhodies.
They come in every ruse and guise, the prominent of which has been a political outfit called Movement for Democratic Change fronted by one Morgan Tsvangirai.
At the turn of the century the Rhodesians would as well have won but for the resilience and alertness of the revolutionary party and President Mugabe.
Rhodesians put all the money and effort and hope in the world into MDC to hold onto the land their forefathers stole from us and parcelled out among their thieving selves.
We weathered the storm and the battle was won, and a couple more, including on July 31 (plus June 10).
The vanquishing of the opposition is a serious body blow to Rhodesians, but the war is still on.
They may lie low but still manage to spring a surprise, what with the massive help they have from their racist kith and kin in America.
As we speak, these venal creatures are waiting by the gate to recolonise our land, the land that God gave us.
They jealously cast their long noses in our direction looking for an opening.
One small mistake, Zimbabwe is a colony again.
That will be unacceptable.
Totally.
Meanwhile, if a Rhodesian kid can have that attachment to the dream, ours surely can do it.
They must be taught to love their country and defend it from jackals such as Rhodesians even if they have legions of support from their kith and kin in Europe, America, Australia and wherenotelse.
This is the only country black people of Zimbabwe will ever have.
The riches that are in the belly of our nation are for us and our children's children and not the children of thieves and pillagers.
And if blood be shed, it must be shed in defence of our country.
