Ambassador Ray, Tsvangirai and Biti the violent trio

In The Sunday Mail's edition of August 7-13, 2011 Professor Jonathan Moyo, Member of Parliament under his article Zanu PF: An introspection made interesting observations in the manner at which violence is being smuggled into the country's political arena and then paraded as inherent of the nationalist liberation movement by agents of the post imperialists hegemony in their quest for regime change.
In the same article Professor Moyo went on to expound that some of the comrades in the nationalist movement, "now seem to believe the propaganda that the vanguard party, Zanu PF, is by definition guilty of the political violence as alleged by its detractors."
He went on to write: "Violence is therefore not part of our culture as an independent nation yet it clearly has been the manifesto of our detractors. The time has come to be bold about this fact and to state it robustly given that the MDC formations have nothing to offer besides falsely seeking to present us as a violent party."
True indeed to the words of Professor Moyo, Zimbabwe has no culture of violence and is internationally recognized for its peace loving people.
The peace that has been made possible by the existence of a vibrant, diligent, disciplined and dedicated security institutional structure which has stood as the guarantor to the tranquility the nation enjoys since independence.
In as much as that is the case with the stability and the peace we enjoy in Zimbabwe there are deliberate concerted efforts by the Americans and the British to portray Zimbabwe as a hub of violence which is allegedly orchestrated by Zanu PF.
These efforts are being implemented through the MDC formations and Non Governmental Organisations (NGO's) and are meant to use the perceived violence as an avenue:
· by which the US and Britain would then influence other countries to gain access into the country and deliberately interfere in the internal process of sovereign Zimbabwe in a way that promotes the interests of the war mongers or
· by fuelling hatred amongst Zimbabweans through hate and inflammatory speeches to levels that the country plunges into a civil war. Once that happens the writers of the violence script would then emerge as pacifiers when in actual fact they would be coming to bless a puppet government. It is worthy noting that the chances of this happening are just but remote considering the strength of our security forces and that of the unrelenting survivors of the liberation struggle known as 'war vets' who will not seat on their laurels as the gains of independence are reversed.
These scenarios are fast becoming more glaringly self-evident now than ever before as the illegal sanctions the country has lived under for nearly a decade have failed to achieve their desirable regime change agenda.
What this then means, is that the impatient West which by day is increasingly getting frustrated has to create an atmosphere that will justify its hunger to be in Zimbabwe.
In our case the perceived violent nature of Zanu PF has become that avenue and are using their fibbing media to all who care to listen that Zimbabweans are at the mercy of the alleged violence perpetrated by Zanu PF.
This is calculated at making the Zimbabwean case of the perceived violence a human rights issue worthy debating at the United Nations when we all know the country is at peace.
True to the German saying, that if you want to kill a dog you have to repeatedly say it has rabies, the western imperialist are constantly alleging Zanu PF to be a violent party that need to be exorcised as a way of trying to gain illegal entrance to the country's internal processes.
It is the manner they intend to carry out the exorcism that our people should be weary of as this will not be a stroll in the park.
Those people who have lived long enough to be in a position to recollect the memories of war know what I mean and they should be in a position to share with those experiences with those who are ignorant.
What becomes worrisome of the Zimbabwean situation today is that there are three actors who by virtue of being opportunist of the effects of sanctions have become opinion makers to a sizeable number of our population.
It is so sad that our people are blindly following and believing in these people when in fact they are being led mu gona reshumba in the pretext of going to heaven.
In today's Zimbabwean the three would be villains in the near future in this unfolding treacherous drama which if like madness in great ones goes unchecked might turn ruinous, are the American Ambassador to Zimbabwe Charles Ray, MDC-T President Morgan Tsvangirai and Tendai Biti, MDC-T Secretary General.
Interestingly, the three actors made startling remarks that smack of traits meant to incite people into engaging into acts of violence in the month of June.
In June this year Biti told David Smith of the guardian.co.uk, that in Zimbabwe there is "an atmosphere of poison" reminiscent of Rwanda on the eve of the genocide that left about 800,000 people dead in the 1990s.
Smith quotes Biti as having said, "My fear is that Zanu-PF will create an atmosphere of hate and an atmosphere of poison. There are shades of Rwanda in January 1994… where the military is in control, law and order breaks down and there is total violence."
Biti went on to say,"But what I'm really worried about is where are we going as a country because of selfish leadership. There is a leadership vacuum. The reality is we are working with people who are incorrigible, who are living in another century, who are interested only in looting."
Indeed true to Biti's statement the atmosphere in Zimbabwe is reminiscent of Rwanda in the mid 90s in so far as his calls parallel those by the presidential guard and radio propaganda, which mobilised an unofficial militia group called the Interahamwe during the Rwandan genocide.
At this juncture it is important for Zimbabweans to ask the role being played by the MDC-T militia groups called the hunters and zvigure and also demand to know who created them and for what purposes.
In the same manner the Rwandan propaganda manifested itself, Biti's language is not of brokering peace but that of sowing seeds of distress and hatred in the hope that a volcanic eruptions shoots out amongst the populace of Zimbabwe this time using their hunters and zvigure militia groups.
The strength of these two groups was tested in the run up to the party's congress when they effectively cowed down dissenting voices.
Any Head of State as is the case with President Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe is the mirror by which other member states view a given country. In other words he is the representative of Zimbabwe and for Biti to talk of a vacuum in leadership is tantamount to treason.
If anything such calls are calculated to incite people to unconstitutionally remove a government at the same time exposing the despicable genes of violence that run in the veins of Biti and crew.
Just recently at a rally held at Sakubva stadium Biti was at it again alleging that Zanu PF had killed Retired General Solomon Mujuru.
It takes a fool to believe that Biti was mourning the late hero as he stands and represents all what the legendary hero sacrificed his life fighting for. His death in the unfortunate tragic fire incident to Biti who is war hungry came as an opportunity to fuel dissent amongst Zanu PF, as a crisis in Zanu PF is a national crisis.
Then there is this man whom Ambassador Khaya Moyo recently described as a man without class mates going by the name Morgan Tsvangirai who uses his ill-coined peace rallies to call for vengeance against Zanu PF.
At the MDC-T congress in May, Tsvangirai announced that the party was going to name and shame all the individuals who perpetrated violence in the run up to the congress.
When the so called peace rallies where launched one hoped that these were meant to start by naming and shaming those identified as having fueled the intra-party violence but to date that has not happened.
This is not to say this is surprising but it serves to show how violence is part and parcel of the MDC-T dating back to the formative stages of the kitchen cabinet.
Finally there is this messenger from the masters in the USA, Ambassador Ray as if in a drunken stupor hallucinates, "There is no way you can build a house from the roof. You have to start from the foundation going to the top. So I don't think removing Mugabe will change anything."
Surely only heaven knows what was going on in the Ambassador's mind when he made such reckless statements. The foundation of this country is built on the principles and ideals of the liberation struggle.
The institutions that define us as Zimbabweans inclusive of the security sector are also informed by the ideals of the liberation struggle and God knows how this foundation that define us as a people can be reconstructed without any blood being spilt.
Such realities, especially, at this juncture when North Africa is burning then become an important fountain of wisdom for the peace loving Zimbabweans to draw lessons that will safeguard us as a nation from going the same route.
The major lesson one draws is that of the evils being perpetrated by the so-called world superpowers in the disguise of democratisation process, and freeing the masses from "dictators" – when in actual fact the same super powers have become self ordained dictators of the world.
It is also clear that the continuous labeling of the Zanu PF party as a violent party the country's detractors are hyping up people's emotions so that there is an uprising like that witnessed in North Africa thus allowing the Americans and the British to come in.
This is one route our people should not be fooled into falling into, as our security forces whose institutional memory is enshrined in the principles and ideals of the liberation struggle will not stand asunder as the gains of the protracted struggle are reversed. This is non-negotiable – period!
It is clear from the statements by the leadership in the MDC-T and their chief handler in the country Ambassador Ray are baying for blood in order to achieve their regime change agenda, now that the sanctions have failed.
In their efforts of plunging Zimbabwe into a war zone through reckless statements, the trio is forgetting to remind the ordinary citizens that both old and young men and women who make up our security institutions will not let the gains of independence be reversed un-abated.
Instead, they lie to the people that the majority of the junior officers in the security forces sympathies with the western agenda – absolute nonsense which people have to believe at their own peril.
What therefore ought to be known by rational Zimbabweans and always be remembered can simply be summed in unsaid remarks by bonafide members of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVZ) and like minded people which goes: ," Ngiyakulithembisa ukuba leli ilizwe lizayakuvikelwa, kodwa angiyi kulithembisa ukuba liya kulibona selivikelwe. (Indeed I assure you that when duty calls we are to defend the gains of the liberation struggle from the onslaught by our detractors, but I cannot assure you that you will live long enough to witness and celebrate the defeat of our enemies.)
In the same article Professor Moyo went on to expound that some of the comrades in the nationalist movement, "now seem to believe the propaganda that the vanguard party, Zanu PF, is by definition guilty of the political violence as alleged by its detractors."
